Back to Anfield!
Liverpool vs. AS Roma
The champions league is back tomorrow at Anfield for leg one of the semi-final. Liverpool have won one and drawn one since defeating City in the quarter-final while Roma have drawn one and won two. Both teams won in emphatic fashion against City and Barcelona respectively and will be in high spirits going into the game.
Liverpool’s strength is in their front three but the midfield and defence proved themselves in the quarters though Liverpool have still been leaking in goals. Roma were able to rest the likes of Dzeko, De Rossi, and Florenzi at the weekend while Klopp rested Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Firmino, and Chamberlain. Barcelona did not dominate As Roma but their defence was leaky in the first leg, and Liverpool have been much more of a threat in front of goal than Barcelona have.
Anfield will be rocking as per usual and it will be interesting to see whether the Roma players will be able to cope with the pressure, though having seen the comeback and having players like De Rossi at their disposal the occasion should not be above them. Liverpool will most likely play their high intensity attacking game while Roma will look to counter. The game in my opinion will be won or lost in the midfield.
Will it be another historic night at Anfield? We will have to wait and watch though it will definitely be one full of entertainment.
