Swansea 0 vs. 1 Chelsea Review

Suffer.

Chelsea continued to gain momentum towards the end of the season by gaining all three points at Swansea.

Conte opted for a 3-5-2 formation with Giroud and Hazard starting up top and Fabregas playing in the middle alongside Bakayoko and Kanté. After some brilliant play by Hazard he laid the ball off for Fabregas who curled in his effort to give Chelsea the lead in the 3rd minute. For the rest of the match Chelsea continued to dominate the game without really posing any threat to the Swansea goal. A resolute defensive performance insured that Chelsea held on to the one goal advantage.

Post match Conte stated that Chelsea needed to be more clinical when chances were created and that the team added more pressure on themselves by not scoring a second of third goal. This has been the story of our season although the defence has picked up their performance of late and so the win resembled some of our one goal victories in last seasons campaign.

The loss for Swansea means that they are now just one point above the relegation zone although they have a game in hand. The fact that Swansea have two more home games against Southampton and Stoke who are 18th and 19th respectively will give them encouragement.

For Chelsea the quest for top four continues and all we can do is win our games to put pressure on Liverpool and Tottenham. Now the blues are only two points behind Tottenham and six points behind Liverpool. Tottenham play on Monday and hopefully Watford can muster some form to take points off them.

Up next Liverpool at the Bridge!! COME ON CHELSEA!!!
