Russia vs. Saudi Arabia

Russia play host to Saudi Arabia in the opening game of the FIFA World Cup. While both teams are not in great patches of form, both have cause to win this game. Russia are the host nation and will hope that a win against Saudi Arabia would set them with important three points. Saudi Arabia have nothing to lose and so will go into the game wanting rain on Russia’s parade. Russia are the host nation but Saudi Arabia could cause an upset on the opening day, although the game is tightly balanced.
