Huddersfield vs. Chelsea Preview

We are back its finally here just a day away well actually it starts tonight but Chelsea are back! Chelsea travel to Huddersfield for our first game of the season. Huddersfield beat us at the end of last season which damaged our chances of finishing in the top four and so this a perfect opportunity to fix the situation. Huddersfield have made several singings to strengthen their squad ahead of this season. They did well to avoid the relegation zone at the end of last season even as many people expected them to collapse at the end. Huddersfield should play in similar fashion to our previous game which will be to defend well and counter when given the opportunity.

Chelsea made deadline day signings of Kepa and Kovacic although Kovacic still might take a week or two to regain fitness and so might not feature for this game. Kepa should be fit and is a good goalkeeper to keep an eye on. Chelsea only managed three goals during pre-season and really only won one game. Sarriball will take some time to get used to and that was clearly evident in our defeat in the Community Shield. We have had a week of double training sessions since and while creating chances will not be an issue and neither will possession be one our main issue will be to be clinical in front of goal. If we finish our chance we will win the game but the longer we drag it out then Huddersfield might nick 1 or 3 points.

Chelsea Team Preview

I expect a similar lineup to the one against City although Kante should come instead of Fabregas. Kepa should also start ahead of Caballero while Hazard will probably feature from the bench. I personally want Hudson-Odoi to start but Sarri could start Willian and Pedro either side of Morata.

Huddersfield Team Preview

Huddersfield should set up defensively and while some new signings might feature the nucleus of last seasons squad should start this game.

Starting XI Prediction

First game of the season and I really hope we win. Sarri has said that it will take around two months to get used to Sarriball and even though I know that these first few weeks will see a slow start we need to at least be picking up three points. COME ON CHELSEA!!!
