Chelsea vs. Arsenal Preview

More Sarriball on show!

Not being able to wait until Chelsea’s next game is a feeling that alluded me last season. It has returned this season as Sarriball and Chelsea’s good performance against Huddersfield as got me hyped for our first home game. The fact that it comes against Arsenal makes it more entertaining. Chelsea and Arsenal met during pre-season and while Chelsea dominated the first half we failed to finish our chances in front of goal although players like Hazard, and Kante were missing. Arsenal did dominate the second half but they were playing against players that in all honesty were second or third team at best.

Arsenal were poor against City and although they did grow into the game during the second half they did not manage to threaten the City goal. Emery did not get the easiest of starts and in all honesty his first points will most likely come in next week because Chelsea seem like they are raring to go. Hazard was exceptional during his 15 minute cameo as he completed 6 dribbles the most on the opening day of any player in the league. Last season and most of Conte’s time for Arsenal was one which saw them in a way have the upper hand against Chelsea but Sarri should return Chelsea back to winning ways tomorrow. Chelsea will win this game, and as a side note if Morata was to score against Arsenal it would give a bucket load of confidence which is needed.

Chelsea Team Preview

Hazard should start the game while Hudson-Odoi should return to the bench after not featuring in the squad in the last game. Question marks remain over the third midfield spot and while Kovacic could feature from the bench and Loftus Cheek might get a start the most likely scenario is that Barkley will start his second game. Fabregas continues to recover from a knee injury.

Arsenal Team Preview

Lichtsteiner might start in place of Maitland Niles while Monreal also seems to be back in the fold. Torreira might make his first start for Arsenal while in my personal opinion Lacazette should also start the game as opposed to featuring from the bench.
