Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace Preview

Just keep winning.

Chelsea’s next game in the Premier League comes against local London team Crystal Palace. Palace sit 14th in the table at the moment having won 2 drawn 2 and lost 6 of their games. Palace have not been great this season but did manage a point against Arsenal last weekend as they got penalties after each of Arsenal’s goals. Palace were knocked out of the League Cup by Middlesbrough mid week and so will be looking to bounce back with a point or more at Stamford Bridge. On their day Palace have brilliant pace and defensive players to win a game but this season things have not clicked and lopsided performances have given them no real momentum.

Chelsea managed to reach the quarters of the League Cup by narrowly and perhaps luckily beating Derby during the week. Chelsea have been brilliant this season and with Arsenal and Liverpool playing each other the hope will be that three points bring them closer to the top of the table. As the weeks go by Sarriball is being played with great affect and just as in any season players are beginning to shine. Loftus-Cheek, and Barkley are the players in form with Morata also managing to get goals every other game. The defence on the other hand while having depth seems to be lacking form as apart from the starting back four the rest have been suspect with Christensen specifically putting in poor performances.

Chelsea Team Preview

Sarri has stated that Hazard has returned to full training and might be able to play 40 minutes of the game. The usual starting XI should start and Giroud might start ahead of Morata if he is fit although Morata is the striker in form.

Crystal Palace Team Preview

Palace will be without Zaha which is a big blow but they should have a full squad to select from.
