Time to gain momentum before City.
Chelsea’s unbeaten run came to an end last weekend agains Tottenham as the performance gave Sarri many points to think about. Fulham visit the Bridge next and their season has not gone according to plan as they bought well during the summer as many though they would be pushing for a Europa League place. Fulham though are 20th in the table and Jokanovic was sacked during the International break to be replaced by Ranieri. Ranieri did well last weekend as he started off his time with a 3-2 win over Southampton. Ranieri is Italian and so he bases off his team with a strong defence and Fulham have several good players all over the pitch that can cause Chelsea problems if drilled properly. Seri, Sessegnon, Cairney, Schurrle, and Mitrovic make up Ranieri’s front and they can cause any team problems. If Jokanovic was still in charge I would have expected an easy win for Chelsea but with Ranieri at the helm Chelsea can expect a trickier fixture.
Chelsea rotated 10 of their 11 players against PAOK in the Europa League and the so called fringe players showed more hunger than the starting XI did against Spurs or even in the last three fixtures. Sarri had one on one sessions with this players and must have told them that he does not want to see another performance like the one against Spurs again and hopefully the game against Fulham is another win for us.
Chelsea Team Preview
Hazard was rested agains PAOK and should be back in the starting XI as should most of the players that played against Spurs. While the fringe players might have played well Sarri will probably stick to his tried and tested XI. In an ideal world I would hope that Hudson-Odoi would start ahead of Pedro and Willian but probably not. Giroud and Morata are scoring at the moment and either striker could start while Lotus-Cheek player well against PAOK and could start again against Fulham. The defence will most likely return to the normal back four although I would have liked Christensen to start alongside Rudiger.
Fulham Team Preview
Fulham have should have a fit squad to select from as I expect Ranieri to start the same XI he did against Southampton.
Starting XI Prediction
Three points and a good performance are the priority. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
