Chelsea 2 vs. 0 Fulham Review

Chelsea returned to winning ways in uncomfortable victory.

Chelsea got back to winning ways as we beat Fulham 2-0. Sarri chose his tried and tested back five but Kovacic was chosen in the third midfield role while Giroud and Pedro joined Hazard up top. Chelsea dominated the game but as usual we failed to capitalise on the chances we created. We did get an early lead in the 4th minute as Kante tackled Seri at the half way line and passed the ball into Pedro’s path who then finished. Loftus-Cheek then added the second in the 82nd minute via some great play between Hazard and him.

Kepa made some brilliant saves as his stock as our keeper continues to grow, Rudiger was the best performer in defence while Luiz, Azpi, and Alonso were decent. Azpi and Alonso especially were good in defence but going forward Alonso manage to fluff every cross he tried to make. Emerson would have been looking from the sidelines and asking himself what he needed to do to start a game. Hopefully Emerson will get a chance in the upcoming Premier League games. Jorginho had a dominant game after a couple of poor performances while Kante was brilliant in his role as a midfielder. Kovacic was great defensively but Loftus-Cheek showed why he should get a chance to start in the League with his late cameo and attacking threat. Hazard was good while Giroud also performed well without scoring. Pedro showcased why he should start ahead of Willian as he continues to return to form.

Chelsea need to build momentum going into Saturday’s game against City and a win against Fulham was a step in the right direction. We returned to 3rd in the table while Fulham remain bottom of the table. Next up for us is a trip to Wolves. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
