Weekend Football Preview

Another weekend of action packed games!

Premier League MW 16

Bournemouth vs. Liverpool

Bournemouth sit 7th in the table while Liverpool are 2nd as these two teams go head to head in a close clash. Bournemouth have done well this season and have perhaps been unlucky at times against the big teams while Liverpool have not been their free scoring self of last season but have grinded out results the way potential champions do. A close game and one that could go either way.

Arsenal vs. Huddersfield

Arsenal sit 5th in the table while Huddersfield are a lowly 17th, Arsenal have been in top form since their early losses in the season and it should be a comfortable win for them at the Emirates.

Burnley vs. Brighton

Burnley are 19th while Brighton are 10th, Burnley have not played well at all this season as they have shipped in goals uncharactersitically. Brighton have been reborn this season and have been great although their away form is suspect. An interesting game which on form Brighton should win.

Cardiff vs. Southampton

16th vs 18th as Hassenhutl takes charge of his first game for Southampton after Hughes had been sacked. Hassenhutl took RB Leipzig from the verge of relegation to a top four finish in the Bundesliga and Southampton will hope to eventually hit similar heights. Cardiff should take advantage of a new manager and seal three points at home. A close game but Cardiff should edge it.

Man United vs. Fulham

United have not been great as they sit 8th in the table while Ranieri has won 1 lost 1 and drawn 1 since taking over at Fulham. Old Trafford is not the fortress it used to be and while Jose did manage a draw against Arsenal they were far from great and Fulham could take advantage of a suspect side. On paper United should win it but Fulham have a real chance.

West Ham vs. Crystal Palace

13th vs 15th as Palace travel to an inform West Ham. West Ham had a shaky start but have been more consistent of late as they have picked up quiet a few points. Palace have been poor and lost to Brighton midweek and another loss potentially on the cards for them against West Ham.

Leicester vs. Tottenham

9th vs 3rd as Leicester entertain a glitchy Tottenham side Tottenham were poor against Arsenal but did well against Southampton at the weekend though Leicester are away better team who are playing at home. A close game which could go either way.

Newcastle vs. Wolverhampton

Newcastle have not won in two but managed a draw against Everton as they sit 14th in the table. Wolves had been doing poorly but they came back to beat Chelsea mid week to earn their first win since October as they sit 12th. A close game and one that could go either way.

Everton vs. Watford

6th vs 11th as two teams in decent form go head to head. Everton have been the better of the two sides as Marcos Silva takes on his former club. Silva will want to get one over Watford and with Everton at home it could be another win for the Toffees.

La Liga MW 15

Atletico take on Alaves, Valencia take on Sevilla, Espanyol take on Barcelona, and Real Madrid travel to Huesca. La Liga is heated this season and there are tough games for all the top teams involved this weekend.

Serie MW 15

Napoli take on Frosinone, Roma travel to Cagliari, Milan take on Torino, and the clash of the weekend comes in Turin as Juventus take on Inter Milan. Juventus are flying high as they remain unbeaten in the league and loss would really help the other teams to fight for the title.

Bundesliga MW 14

Schalke take on Dortmund in the Ruhr Derby, Leipzig travel to Freiburg, Leverkusen take on Augsburg, Nurnberg visit Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg take on Hoffenheim, Hertha Berlin take on Frankfurt, and Monchengladbach take on Stuttgart. An exciting weekend of German football as the Bundesliga excites this season.

Ligue MW 17

Monaco take on Nice, PSG take on Montpellier, Lyon travel to Toulouse, Lille take on Reims, and St.Etienne take on Marseille. PSG are still 14 points clear but have drawn their last two games and Montpellier are 3rd in the league. PSG will not want to drop anymore points.
