December is the best time of year!

Premier League MW 16

Bournemouth 0 vs. 4 Liverpool

It was thought that it would be a tough game for Liverpool but Liverpool continued their momentum. Salah scored a hattrick to silence his doubters and Steve Cook scored an own goal as Liverpool head to the top of the table. Bournemouth drop down to 8th in the table.

Arsenal 1 vs. 0 Huddersfield

Torreira scored in the 83rd minute of the game to seal a hard fought win for Arsenal against Huddersfield. Arsenal remain 5th in the table with the win while Huddersfield drop into 18th. 

Burnley 1 vs. 0 Brighton

Tarkowski scored in the 40th minute to seal an important win for Burnley against Brighton. I had said that away from Brighton are poor and with the loss they drop down to 12th. Burnley who were 19th climb out of the relegation zone and into 17th. 

Cardiff 1 vs. 0 Southampton

Paterson scored in the 74th minute to continue Cardiff’s resurgence as Hassenhutl narrowly lost his firs game in charge of Southampton. Cardiff move into 14th with the win while Southampton drop down into 19th.

Man United 4 vs. 1 Fulham

Young, Mata, and Lukaku scored in the first half to give United a comfortable lead at half time. Kamara did score from the spot in the second half but Rashford scored a 4th late on to remove any doubt of a United win. United continue their gradual rise by moving into 6th while Fulham remain bottom of the table.

West Ham 3 vs. 2 Crystal Palace

McArthur gave Palace an early lead in the 6th minute as the Eagles held onto it going into the second half. West Ham came out in another gear and Snodgrass, Chicharito, and Anderson scored in quick succession to put West Ham in front. Schlupp scored for Palace in the 76th minute but the Hammers held on. West Ham move into 11th in the table while Palace drop into 16th. 

Leicester 0 vs. 2 Tottenham

Tottenham continue to gather points as they beat Leicester thanks to goals from Son, and Alli. The defeat did not do great damage to Leicester as they remained 9th in the table while Tottenham hold on to third in the table. 

Newcastle 1 vs. 2 Wolverhampton

Wolves earned another hard fought win by beating Newcastle away. Jota gave Wolves the lead before Perez equalised for Newcastle. Yedlin was sent off for Newcastle early in the second half but they seemed to have manage to hold on for a point only for Doherty to score in the 94th minute to steal a win for Wolves. Newcastle drop into 15th while Wolves bounce back into 10th.

La Liga MW 15

Atletico beat Alaves 3-0, Valencia drew with Sevilla 1-1, Espanyol got thrashed by Barcelona 0-4, and Real Madrid narrowly beat Huesca 0-1. Barcelona remain top of La Liga as they open up a three point gap with Sevilla, Atletico and Real making up the top four. 

Serie MW 15

Napoli beat Frosinone 4-0, Roma fought hard to draw 2-2 against Cagliari, Milan drew with Torino, and Juventus narrowly beat Inter 1-0. Juventus have an 8 point gap in Serie A with Napoli, Inter, and Milan making up the top four. 

Bundesliga MW 14

Dortmund beat Schalke 1-2 in their derby, Leipzig got thrashed by Freiburg 3-0, Leverkusen narrowly beat Augsburg 1-0, Bayern beat Nurnberg 3-0, Wolfsburg drew with Hoffenheim 2-2, Hertha beat Frankfurt 1-0, and Monchengladbach beat Stuttgart 3-0. Dortmund stay top with Monchengladbach, Bayern and Leipzig making up the top four. 

Ligue MW 17

Games were postponed in France due to riots in major cities protesting agains the government.
