Premier League MW 17

Man City 3 vs. 1 Everton

City kicked the weekend off with a comfortable win against Everton. Jesus scored a double within 50 minutes to put City ahead but Calvert-Lewin notched one back for Everton in the 65th minute. Sterling reestablished the two goal lead four minutes later to secure the three points for City. City remain 2nd in the table while Everton drop into 8th.

Crystal Palace 1 vs. 0 Leicester

Milivojevic got the only goal of the game in the 39th minute to get Palace an important win at home. Palace moved up one place into 15th while Leicester dropped down to 12th. In what is a close fight between the mid table sides. 

Huddersfield 0 vs. 1 Newcastle

Rondon scored in the 55th minute to return Newcastle to winning ways away at Huddersfield. Newcastle moved into 14th with the win while Huddersfield dropped down into 19th. 

Tottenham 1 vs. 0 Burnley

Burnley had almost achieved a hard fought point against Tottenham but Eriksen scored in the 91st minute to steal the point away from them and secure a win for Spurs. Tottenham remain 3rd with the win while Burnley drop into 18th. 

Watford 3 vs. 2 Cardiff City

Deulofeu, Holebas, and Quina put Watford into a comfortable lead within 70 minutes but Cardiff almost fought back to achieve a point with late goals from Hoilett, and Reid. Cardiff fell one goal short and drop down to 16th while Watford moved into 10th with the win.

Wolverhampton 2 vs. 0 Bournemouth

Jimenez, and Cavaleiro scored in either half to seal an important victory for Wolves against fellow rivals Bournemouth. Wolves continued their good form as they push into 7th while Bournemouth dropped into 11th with the loss. 

Fulham 0 vs. 2 West Ham

Fulham continued their poor form while West Ham continued to rise with a win a London Derby. Snodgrass and Antonio scored in either half in the Hammers victory as West Ham moved into 9th with the win while Fulham remained bottom of the table.

Southampton 3 vs. 2 Arsenal

Hassenhutl won his first home game in charge of Southampton win emphatic fashion as he ended Arsenal’s 20 something game unbeaten run. Ings gave the Saints the lead in the 20th minute but Mkhitaryan equalised for Arsenal 8 minutes later. Ings then restored the lead for Southampton right before half time but Mkhitaryan showed up again in the 55th minute to bring the game back level. Austin then headed home the winner in the 85th minute to seal all three points against Arsenal. Southampton moved into 17th with the win while Arsenal remain 5th but drop three points behind Chelsea. 

Liverpool 3 vs. 1 Man United

In the game of the weekend Liverpool were seeking their first win against United since 2013/14 and they got it in emphatic fashion. Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 24th minute but Lingard equalised for United in the 33rd minute. It took two late goals from Shaqiri (both deflections) to earn the three points for Liverpool and win his place in the hearts of Liverpool fans. Liverpool remain top of the table while United remain 6th but only a point above Wolves. 

La Liga MW 16

Atletico won a tough match away at Valladolid 2-3, Real barely managed to beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0, Valencia drew with Eibar, Sevilla beat Girona 2-0, and Barcelona thrashed Levante 5-0 away from home. Barcelona remain top of the table with Sevilla, Atletico and Real making up the top four. 

Serie MW 16

Inter beat Udinese 1-0, Juventus beat Torino 1-0, Napoli beat Cagliari 0-1, and Roma beat Genoa 3-2. Milan still need to play. Juventus, Napoli, Inter and Milan make up the top four. 

Bundesliga MW 15

Bayern thrashed Hannover 0-4, Schalke drew with Augsburg 1-1, Monchengladbach drew with Hoffenheim 0-0, Dortmund beat Werder Bremen 2-1, and Frankfurt beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. Dortmund, Monchengladbach, Bayern, and RB Leipzig.

Ligue MW 18

Lille beat Nimes 2-3, while Lyon beat Monaco 0-3. PSG have not played int two weeks but still lead while Lille, Lyon, and Montpellier make up the top four.
