Boxing Day Preview

Boxing Day is here!

Premier League MW 19

Fulham vs. Wolverhampton

Wolves head to Fulham as they look to recover from their loss to Liverpool. Out of the two teams one is 20th and the other is 10th and Wolves are definitely the team in better form. A tough game for Fulham but they did keep a clean sheet at the weekend and so they could make it difficult for Wolves.

Burnley vs. Everton

18th vs. 11th as Burnley face off against Everton who took a massive step back after their thrashing by Tottenham. Burnley were decent against Arsenal while Everton were abysmal against Spurs. A close game that on paper should go Everton’s way but on the pitch it could be a lot tougher.

Crystal Palace vs. Cardiff City

Palace got a massive victory away at City during the weekend and will be hoping to carry that form into the game against 17th placed Cardiff. Cardiff were thrashed by United and they will hope to at least get a point as a response. A close game that Palace should edge.

Leicester vs. Man City

Leicester surprisingly beat Chelsea at the Bridge during the weekend and they will be hoping to replicate that performance against a City side looking to return to winning ways. City have already lost two games this season and it will be interesting to see whether they respond with a win and show the loss was only a blip or if there is a cause for concern.

Liverpool vs. Newcastle

15th place Newcastle visit league leaders Liverpool as Benitez returns to his old club. Will Benitez cause Liverpool damage or will he bow down and let his old club continue in their stride. Liverpool should brush aside Newcastle to continue their stay at the top.

Man United vs. Huddersfield

United thrashed Cardiff to show that the players were actually depressed of playing Mourinho style football and they play their first game under new management at home. Huddersfield are 19th and should pose no real threat to United. Another win for Ole is in order.

Tottenham vs. Bournemouth

Tottenham thrashed Everton 6-2 as they entertain Bournemouth on boxing day. Bournemouth have played well this season but Tottenham are in a patch of good form. Bournemouth have the capability of taking points off Tottenham but the more likely result is that Tottenham win the game.

Brighton vs. Arsenal

Brighton lost to Bournemouth at the weekend but they return to play Arsenal at home where they tend to usually take points off the top teams. Arsenal were shaky at the weekend and they face a tough test away Brighton.

Southampton vs. West Ham

Resurgent Southampton take on inconsistent West Ham at home. This should be a very interesting game which could go either way. Southampton are at home but West Ham do better away from home.

Serie MW 18

Milan travel to Frosinone, Atlanta play Juventus, Roma play Sassuolo, and Inter play Napoli in the main fixture of the gameweek.
