A high scoring weekend!

Premier League MW 23

Wolverhampton 4 vs. 3 Leicester City

Wolves won a high scoring affair in the first game of the weekend as they beat Leicester. Jota and Bennett scored in the first 15 minutes to give Wolves a 2-0 lead. A Gray and a Coady own goal in the second half levelled the score line. Jota then restored Wolves lead in the 64th minute before Morgan levelled in the 87th minute for Leicester. Jota completed his hattrick and sealed the three points for Wolves in the 93rd minute. Wolves moved up to 8th while Leicester dropped down to 9th in an ever changing mid table. 

Bournemouth 2 vs. 0 West Ham

Wilson and King scored in the second half as Bournemouth returned to winning ways in a crucial game against West Ham. Wilson has been rumoured with a move elsewhere but he put that aside to score a brilliant goal and King finished it off in extra time. Bournemouth remain 12th with the win while West Ham drop down 10th. 

Liverpool 4 vs. 3 Crystal Palace

Liverpool survived another high scoring affair to continue their march towards the title against bogey side Palace. Townsend gave Palace the lead in the 34th minute as Liverpool went into the second half trailing. That was short lived though as Salah equalised for Liverpool in the 46th minute. Firmino then gave Liverpool the lead in the 53rd minute, but Tomkins equalised for the Eagles soon after. Salah then scored again in the 75th minute after a goalkeeping error, while Milner was sent off in the 89th minute for a second yellow. Mane then scored in the 93rd minute to give Liverpool a 4-2 lead but Meyer scored the third for Palace and a first for his club in an eventual win for Liverpool. Liverpool stay top of the table while Palace remain 14th.

Man United 2 vs. 1 Brighton

Pogba scored a penalty and Rashford added a second while Gross restored the deficit to one in the second half. United remain level on points with Arsenal as United are 2nd, while Brighton remain 13th with the loss. 

Newcastle 3 vs. 0 Cardiff City 

Schar scored two and Perez added a third in extra time as Newcastle won a crucial game against Cardiff at bottom of the table. Newcastle move out of the relegation zone and into 17th while Cardiff drop into the relegation zone into 18th. 

Southampton 2 vs. 1 Everton

After a stale first half Ward-Prowse and a Digne own goal gave Southampton a 2-0 lead. Sigurdsson scored in extra time but it was too little too late for Everton. It was a crucial game for two inform teams and Hassenhutl continues his positive impact. Southampton move into 15th while Everton drop into 11th. 

Watford 0 vs. 0 Burnley

A tight game between the two teams as they settled for a draw. Watford remain 7th in the table but are now 11 points behind 6th placed United. Burnley drop into 16th as it gets tighter at the bottom of the table. 

Huddersfield 0 vs. 3 Man City 

No surprise as City comfortably earned three points thanks to goals from Danilo, Sterling, and Sane. City remain second four points behind Liverpool while Huddersfield remain bottom of the table and now 10 points off of safety. 

Fulham 1 vs. 2 Tottenham

Fulham had a brilliant first half as Llorente scored an own goal to give them the lead. Fulham could not replicate that in the second half and defended through out the game which allowed Alli to equalise in the 51st minute. Fulham seemed to be heading for a draw but Winks turned up to score in the 93rd minute to seal three points for Spurs. Ranieri was left devastated while Spurs went four clear of 4th placed Chelsea. Fulham remain 19th and 7 points off of safety. 

La Liga MW 20

Real Madrid beat Sevilla 2-0 in an important game, Atletico comfortably beat Huesca 0-3, and Barcelona beat Leganes 3-1. Barca continue their lead at the top while Atletico follow, Real move into 3rd as Sevilla drop into 4th. 

Serie MW 20

Roma won a tough game against Torino 3-2, Inter drew with Sassuolo 0-0, Napoli beat Lazio 2-1, while Juventus and Milan are still to play. Juventus, Napoli, Inter and Roma make up the top four for now. 

Bundesliga MW 18

Bayern beat Hoffenheim 1-3, Leverkusen lost to Monchengladbach 0-1, and Dortmund beat Leipzig 0-1. Dortmund continue to lead the table with Bayern, Monchengladbach, and Leipzig making up the top four.

Ligue MW 21

Lille beat Amiens 2-1, PSG destroyed Guingamp 9-0, Monaco lost to Strasbourg 1-5, Marseille beat Caen 0-1, and Lyon beat St.Etienne 1-2. PSG keep their 13 point distance with two games in hand while Lille, Lyon, and St.Etienne make up the top four.
