Premier League MW 24
Arsenal 2 vs. 1 Cardiff City
All the goals came in the second half as Arsenal just managed to win the game. Aubameyang and Lacazette scored before Mendez-Laing got a consolation goal for Cardiff in extra time. The win moves Arsenal into 4th level on points with Chelsea after Chelsea’s dismal loss against Bournemouth.
Fulham 4 vs. 2 Brighton
Fulham got a vital victory as they beat Brighton at home as Brighton continued to be unreliable away from home. Murray had given Brighton a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to his goals but Fulham came out a different animal for the second half. Chambers opened the scoring in the 47th minute followed by a brace from Mitrovic and a goal from Vietto to seal the deal. Fulham remain 19th, 6 points off safety while Brighton are 13th.
Huddersfield 0 vs. 1 Everton
Richarlison scored in the 3rd minute and Digne was sent off for Everton in the second half as they just about managed to beat Huddersfield. Everton move up to 8th with the win while Huddersfield are 12 points off safety as they sit bottom of the table.
Wolverhampton 3 vs. 0 West Ham
After a boring first half Wolves rose to the occasion in the second as a goal from Saiss, and a brace from Jimenez sealed a comfortable win for them against the Hammers. Wolves move into 7th with the win 10 point behind United while West Ham are 12th.
Man United 2 vs. 2 Burnley
Goals came in the second half as Barnes and Wood gave Burnley a surprise 2-0 lead at Old Trafford. Ole seemed to be heading for his first defeat as United manager but a Pogba penalty in the 87th minute and a Lindelof header in the 92nd minute meant that United managed a point from the game. United remain 6th in the table 2 points behind Arsenal and Chelsea while Burnley are 17th.
Newcastle 2 vs. 1 Man City
Aguero scored within a minute to make it appear as if City were going to romp to another victory but Newcastle held on and raised their level in the second half. Rondon scored in the 66th minute and Ritchie scored a penalty in the 80th minute to seal a vital win for Newcastle. Newcastle move into 14th with the win while City remain 2nd but 5 points behind Liverpool and 2 points ahead of Spurs.
Southampton 1 vs. 1 Crystal Palace
Zaha scored in the first half and was sent off in the second while Ward-Prowse scored in the second half for Southampton as both teams shared the spoils. Southampton are 16th while Palace are 15th.
Liverpool 1 vs. 1 Leicester
Mane scored in the 3rd minute while Maguire scored right before half time as Liverpool dropped points under pressure and Leicester continued their fine form against the top teams. Leicester are 11th while Liverpool are still 1st.
Tottenham 2 vs. 1 Watford
Cathcart scored in the 30th minute to give Watford the lead but Spurs rallied in the second half and goals from Son and Llorente in the final 10 minutes gave Spurs an important win. Spurs are still 3rd but now 7 points clear of Chelsea and Arsenal while they are just two points behind City.
