Premier League MW 27

Cardiff City vs. Watford

17th vs. 8th as an inform Watford side travel to Wales to play Cardiff. Cardiff are fighting for survival but Watford are tough opposition. Cardiff will find confidence in the fact that their home form has been decent and they will have the support. Watford are fighting for the 7th spot and a win in this game would be an important one. Watford won the reverse fixture 3-2.

West Ham vs. Fulham

London Derby as 10th placed West Ham take on 19th placed Fulham. West Ham are in the section of teams fighting for a top ten finish and their form has been inconsistent while Fulham are struggling to get out of the relegation zone and a win is a must if they want to stand any chance. Fulham have everything to lose while West Ham will look to add points to their tally. West Ham won the reverse fixture 0-2. 

Burnley vs. Tottenham

15th vs. 3rd as Tottenham travel to Burnley. Burnley had a very poor start to the season but they have picked up form in the new year and now are moving away from the relegation zone. Tottenham are just 5 points behind City and Liverpool and a win for them could pile on the pressure. Burnley have a tough ask but a point or more would be a brilliant result for them. Tottenham won the reverse fixture 1-0.

Bournemouth vs. Wolverhampton

11th vs. 7th as two good form teams go head to head. Bournemouth are pushing for a top ten finish while Wolves have made 7th their own for the moment. Wolves have been brilliant but Bournemouth are strong defensively and so this should be a close game to keep an eye on. Wolves won the reverse fixture 2-0.

Newcastle vs. Huddersfield

16th placed Newcastle take on 20th placed Huddersfield in what should be an easy 3 points for the Magpies. Newcastle have picked up form in the New Year while Huddersfield have never really got going. Huddersfield do have a chance to get a point or more but this is an opportunity Newcastle should not miss. Newcastle beat Huddersfield 0-1 in the reverse fixture. 

Leicester vs. Crystal Palace

12th vs. 13th as Palace travel to Leicester. Palace need to win the game if they want to increase their chances of a top 10 finish while a Leicester win would create an even larger gap between 12 and 13th. The teams have been in inconsistent form and so this should be a close affair too close to call. Palace won the reverse fixture 1-0.

Arsenal vs. Southampton

5th vs. 18th. Arsenal take on a Southampton side fighting for survival but Southampton unlike the rest are in a good patch of form under Hassenhutl and so should not be deterred by a trip to London. Arsenal have not been amazing and so their is every chance that they can drop points. Southampton won the reverse fixture 3-2.

Man United vs. Liverpool

The game of the week comes from Manchester as Liverpool visit the red side of the City looking to move back into 1st. Liverpool played Champions League mid week while United were off although that should not be a major factor. United have been brilliant since sacking Mourinho, having only lost 1 game to PSG. Liverpool need a win if they wish to not fall further into a battle for the title and so this should be a very fiery affair. Too hard to predict with United’s current form but Liverpool might just about manage a win. Liverpool won the reverse fixture 3-1.

La Liga MW 25

Barcelona travel to Sevilla in what is a tough game, Atletico play Villarreal, and Real Madrid travel to Levante. Barcelona are 7 points clear but as they face a tough game the rest have a chance to cut the gap. 

Serie MW 25

Milan entertain Empoli, Roma travel to Frosinone, Bologna play Juventus, Napoli travel to Parma, and Inter travel to Fiorentina. Juventus are 13 points clear and so face no real danger but this is a good opportunity for Milan to get a home win as the rest play away. 

Bundesliga MW 23

Bayern entertain Hertha Berlin, Monchengladbach entertain Wolfsburg, Frankfurt travel to Hannover, Dortmund play tough game against Bayer Leverkusen, and Leipzig face another tough team in Hoffenheim. Dortmund are only 3 points ahead as they have dropped several point sin recent weeks, they need a win in this game while the rest look to pounce.

Ligue MW 26

Lille travel to Strasbourg, PSG play Nimes, Marseille travel to Rennes, and Lyon travel to Monaco in the game of the weekend. PSG are 15 points clear with a game in hand as the fight for top four continues alongside Monaco’s bid for survival.
