Derby weekend did not disappoint! 

Premier League MW 29

Tottenham 1 vs. 1 Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey got things rolling on Saturday as he scored the opener in the North London Derby. Arsenal dominated the first half but Spurs returned with new spirit for the second and Kane scored via a penalty in the 74th minute. If VAR was in use then Kane would not have got the penalty because he was offside while Aubameyang also missed a penalty late on but it should have been retaken because of Vertonghen’s position. Tottenham remain 3rd with a 3 point gap while Arsenal drop into 5th 1 point behind United and 1 point ahead of Chelsea.

Bournemouth 0 vs. 1 Man City

City continue to scrape through wins as Mahrez scored in the 55th minute to seal three points for Pep. Bournemouth remain 12th while City move top of the table 1 point ahead of Liverpool. 

Brighton 1 vs. 0 Huddersfield

Andone scored in the 79th minute to give Brighton a crucial win against bottom side Huddersfield. Brighton move one place into 15th while Huddersfield remain bottom of the table. 

Burnley 1 vs. 3 Crystal Palace

Bardsley scored an own goal in the 15th minute to give Palace the lead while Michy and and Zaha added goals in the second half to seal the deal. Barnes scored a consolation goal in the 90th minute. A must win game for both sides as Burnley dropped into 16th while Palace move one up into 13th. 

Man United 3 vs. 2 Southampton

A cracker of a game that consisted of 5 brilliant goals as United edged out Southampton for 3 points. Valery scored in the 26th minute but Pereira scored in the 53rd minute to equalise for United. Lukaku then gave United the lead in the 59th minute but Ward-Prowse scored a brilliant free kick to equalise for Southampton in the 75th minute. Lukaku then scored the winner in the 88th minute to send United into 4th 3 points behind Spurs. Southampton remain 17th only 2 points ahead of Cardiff in 18th. 

Wolverhampton 2 vs. 0 Cardiff City

Jota and Jimenez scored in the first half to secure 3 points for Wolves as they returned to winning ways. Wolves move back into 7th while Cardiff remain 18th.

West Ham 2 vs. 0 Newcastle

Rice and Noble scored in the first half to seal points for West Ham as Newcastle ended their winning run. West Ham move into 9th with the win while Newcastle drop down into 14th. 

Watford 2 vs. 1 Leicester

In what was Rodgers first game in charge of Leicester Deeney got things rolling as he gave Watford the lead in the 5th minute. Vardy scored a brilliant goal in the 75th minute to equalise for Leicester but Gray popped up in the 92nd minute to seal three points for Watford. Watford are 8th but level on points with Wolves who are 7th while Leicester are 11th.

Everton 0 vs. 0 Liverpool

The Merseyside derby was held to a goalless draw as it was an important point for Everton and a damaging point for Liverpool. Everton are 10th while Liverpool are drop into 2nd 1 point behind City.

La Liga MW 26

Sevilla lost to Huesca 2-1, Real Madrid lost another Classico to Barcelona 0-1, and Atletico beat Real Sociedad 0-2 with Morata scoring both goals. Barcelona lead La Liga by 7 points while Atletico, Real, and Getafe make up the top four. 

Serie MW 26

Inter lost to Cagliari 2-1, Milan beat Sassuolo 1-0, Lazio beat Roma 3-0, Atalanta beat Fiorentina 3-1, and Napoli lost Juventus 1-2. Juventus increase their lead at the top to 16 while Napoli remain 2nd. Milan go into 3rd 1 point ahead of Inter who are 4th. 

Bundesliga MW 24 

Dortmund lost a massive game to Augsburg 2-1, Schalke lost Dusseldorf 0-4, Leipzig beat Nurnberg 0-1, Frankfurt beat Hoffenheim 3-2, and Bayern beat Monchengladbach 1-5 to go level on points with Dortmund. Dortmund still lead the Bundesliga but only on goal difference while Bayern, Leipzig, and Monchengladbach make up the top four. 

Ligue MW 27

PSG beat Caen 1-2, Monaco drew with Angers 2-2, Lille beat Dijon 1-0, Lyon beat Toulouse 5-1, and Marseille beat St.Etienne 2-0. PSG remain 17 points clear with a game in hand while Lille, Lyon, and Marseille make up the top four. Monaco are 16th.
