The title and top four race continues!

Premier League MW 30

Crystal Palace 1 vs. 2 Brighton

Crystal Palace and Brighton played out their own derby and Brighton managed to win it for the first time in several years. Murray opened the scoring in the 19th minute but a Milivojevic penalty in the 50th minute brought things level as Palace were growing into the game. Knockaert then scored a beauty in the 74th minute to seal three points for Brighton. Palace drop into 14th while Brighton remain 15th with a game in hand. 

Cardiff City 2 vs. 0 West Ham

Hoilett and Camarasa scored a goal each as Cardiff got a vital win against West Ham. West Ham remain 9th in the table with the loss while Cardiff remain 18th, 2 points off safety. 

Huddersfield 0 vs. 2 Bournemouth

Wilson and Fraser scored goals in the first and second half to hand yet another defeat to Huddersfield. Bournemouth remain 12th while Huddersfield remain bottom of the table and continue to prepare for the Championship. 

Leicester 3 vs. 1 Fulham

Brendan Rodgers got his first win in charge of Leicester as they beat Fulham 3-1. Tielemans scored in the 21st minute for Leicester in what was his first goal while Ayite equalised for Fulham in the 2nd half. Vardy then popped up with two crucial goals in the 78th and 86th minute to seal the win and three points for Leicester. Leicester move into 10th while Fulham remain 19th and 13 points off of safety. 

Newcastle 3 vs. 2 Everton

A brilliant game as Newcastle came back from 2-0 down to beat Everton. Calvert-Lewin scored in the 18th minute to give Everton the lead while Ritchie missed a penalty that could have got Newcastle back in the game. Richarlison then doubled the lead in the 32nd minute for Everton. Newcastle had other plans in the second half and Rondon got one back in the 65th minute. Perez then scored a quick fire double in the 81st and 84th minute to seal the comeback and give Newcastle three very important points. Newcastle move into 13th while Everton drop into 11th. 

Southampton 2 vs. 1 Tottenham

Kane scored in the 26th minute to give Spurs the lead for what looked like it would be a blitz of a win for Tottenham. Spurs though could not score more goals in the 1st half as Southampton held on. Valery then scored in the 76th minute to bring Southampton back into the game and Ward-Prowse scored a brilliant free-kick in the 81st minute yet again to seal three massive points for Southampton. Southampton are 16th while Tottenham remain 3rd but see themselves well and truly dragged into a top four race with Arsenal a point behind them, United three points behind them, and Chelsea 4 points behind them with a game in hand. 

Man City 3 vs. 1 Watford

Sterling scored a hattrick in the second half and Deolofeu got a consolation goal as City piled pressure on Liverpool as they went four points clear for the day. Watford remain 8th in the table but a point behind Wolves. 

Liverpool 4 vs. 2 Burnley

Liverpool replied to the pressure by winning themselves and cutting the deficit to 1 once again. Burnley shockingly got the lead in the 6th minute through Westwood, but Firmino equalised for Liverpool in the 19th minute. Mane then gave Liverpool the lead in the 29th minute and Firmino and Mane scored once again the second half to make it 4-2 as Gudmundsson had also scored for Burnley in extra-time. Burnley are 17th two points above the relegation zone. 

Arsenal 2 vs. 0 Man United

The teams suffered results that were polar opposites in France midweek as United entered the game flying high while Arsenal were looking to bounce back. Xhaka gave Arsenal the lead in the 12th minute with a swerving effort that deceived De Gea in goal. United then dominated the game hitting the post two times and drawing several saves from Leno but Arsenal held on. Lacazette was then brought down in the 69th minute as he made the most from a tackle by Fred and Aubameyang stepped up and scored the penalty to make it 2-0. Arsenal again held on and handed Ole his first Premier League defeat. Arsenal now move into 4th with 60 points while United drop into 5th with 58 points. 

La Liga MW 27

Atletico beat Leganes 1-0, Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1, Sevilla thrashed Real Sociedad 5-2, and Real Madrid beat Valladolid 1-4. Barcelona are still top 7 points clear off 2nd placed Atletico while Real and Getafe make up the top four.

Serie MW 27

Juventus beat Udinese 4-1, Milan beat Chievo 1-2, Inter beat SPAL 2-0, Atalanta beat Sampdoria 1-2, and Napoli drew with Sassuolo 1-1. Juventus remain top of the table 18 points clear off Napoli while Milan are 6 points behind Napoli in 3rd, Inter are 4th. 

Bundesliga MW 25

Dortmund looked like they would be dropping points once again but Pulisic came of the bench to assist one and score another as Dortmund beat Stuttgart 3-1. Leipzig drew with Augsburg 0-0, Bayern thrashed Wolfsburg 6-0, Monchengladbach beat Mainz 0-1, and Hoffenheim beat Nurnberg 2-1. Bayern move to the top on goal difference while Dortmund drop into 2nd, Leizpig and Monchengladbach remain 3rd and 4th. 

Ligue MW 28

PSG vs Nantes was postponed, Lyon drew with Strasbourg 2-2, Monaco drew with Bordeaux 1-1, Lille beat St.Etienne 0-1, Montpellier drew with Angers 2-2, and Marseille beat Nice 1-0. PSG are 14 points clear at the top with 2 games in hand while Lille, Lyon, and Marseille make up the top four.
