Chelsea vs. Burnley Preview

A VERY important game!

Chelsea take on Burnley in 15th placed Burnley in what is the final match of the week. With all the other teams having played and Arsenal, Spurs, and United having lost, Chelsea can go into 3rd, 2 points clear of Tottenham if we beat Burnley. Burnley have been in good form recently having won their last 3 games which has seen them go from the brink of relegation into relative safety for next season. Chelsea won the reverse fixture 0-4 thanks to goals from Morata, Barkley, Willian and Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea played really well against Slavia during the first 45 minutes having gone ahead 4-1 in the scoreline but a usually poor start to the 2nd half saw that lead cut down to only 1 goal. Chelsea have a great chance of making the top four in the final few weeks but we need to start our 2nd half’s in better fashion if we are to accomplish that. Since Sarri rotated some players for the game against Praha we should have a fit squad to take on Burnley. With the other teams having a game in hand it is crucial we win this game and hopefully we do.

Chelsea Team Preview

Rudiger is out due to a knee injury while Hazard took several bad fouls in the game against Praha but should be fit for this game. Kepa to start in goal, Azpi, Christensen, Luiz, and Emerson to start in defence. Jorginho, Kante and RLC to start in midfield while Hazard, Higuain, and CHO start upfront. The key is to score first and early.

Burnley Team Preview

Crouch and Defour are out while Bardsley is a doubt for the game. Dyche should setup defensively for the game and will hope that they can restrict Chelsea for 60-70 minutes and then take opportunities that come their way.

Starting XI Prediction

This is a must win game, the last time we beat Burnley at home was in 2016 so a win is due. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
