Chelsea (1) vs. (1) Eintracht Frankfurt Europa League Semi-Final 2nd Leg Preview

Let’s get the job done!

Chelsea entertain Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2nd leg their Europa League semi-final tie. The aggregate score is 1-1 with Chelsea having the advantage with an away goal. Frankfurt were outstanding in the 1st half of the 1st leg but Chelsea were the better side in the 2nd and should have easily sealed the game then. Frankfurt lost their weekend game to Bayer Leverkusen 6-1 as they conceded all 6 goals in the first half while also scoring one in the 1st half as well.

Chelsea go into this leg having already secured Champions League football after we beat Watford 3-0 during the weekend and Arsenal dropped points against Brighton. With the pressure of qualifying for the Champions League via the Europa League gone, Chelsea can now focus on the competition on being a chance to win silverware and so we should be more than up for the task. A trip to Leicester awaits us at the weekend in our final league game of the season but this game should be our main focus.

Chelsea Team Preview

Chelsea will be without Kante who suffered a slight hamstring problem and might only be available if we reach the final. The rest of the squad is available and so Chelsea should field our strongest team considering Champions League is sorted. Kepa should start in goal, Azpi, Christensen, Luiz, Emerson should start in defence, Jorginho, RLC, and Kovacic should start in the midfield, and Hazard, Giroud, and Pedro should start up front.

A potential final home game for players like Hazard, and Giroud and so we need to make it a positive and memorable one. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
