Final game of the 18/19 Premier League season!
This is it the final game of the season as Chelsea travel to Leicester looking to seal a 3rd place finish after what has been an up and down season. Leicester are 9th in the table and have done well to reach the top 10. Leicester have done extremely well in recent weeks, since Rodgers took over they have gone from 11th all the way to 7th but recent dropped points have seen them move to 9th. Their most recent victory came against Arsenal in MW 36 as they beat the Gunners 3-0. Leicester los their last game to City 1-0, due to a Kompany wonder goal. Rodgers has inherited a brilliant squad of players and he has got them clicking. Vardy looks like a new striker as he continues his brilliant form while players like Tielemans and Maddison have flourished.
Chelsea go into this game having already secured Champions League football last weekend, and a place in the Europa League final after beating Frankfurt midweek. A win would see Chelsea finish 3rd regardless of the Tottenham result which is a surprise in many ways. In recent weeks it’s been a case of who can be the least poor domestically of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and United. Chelsea have come out the best of the rest and so sit 3rd, a combination of pure luck and just managing what is dealt to you. Leicester is no easy trip though and after recent games Chelsea will have to be more than up to the task.
Chelsea Team Preview
Sarri should rotate some players after what was a gruelling game on Thursday. Kepa should start in goal, Zappacosta might start at right back with Azpi and Luiz playing centrally and Alonso on the left. Christensen might be injured. Jorginho, Barkley, and RLC should start in midfield. Hazard, Higuain, and Pedro should start upfront.
Leicester City Team Preview
Brendan Rodgers has a full squad to select from and should go all out considering it is their last home game.
Starting XI Prediction
A tough game to end the season but let’s make it a Chelsea win! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
