Premier League MW 4
Southampton vs. Man United
18th vs. 5th as 1 point separates the two teams. United have managed to loan out Sanchez and Smalling and lose Martial and Shaw due to injuries since last week while Southampton got a good win last weekend. United have suffered a slump of sorts since the opening weekend and face a tough trip now. The result could go either way although I think Southampton could edge it.
Crystal Palace vs. Aston Villa
10th vs. 16th as 1 point again separates these two teams in an entertaining London derby. Palace got a massive win against United last weekend while parking the bus but will be expected to attack Aston Villa who themselves got a big win last weekend. Aston Villa were very dominant mid week in the League Cup winning by 6 goals while Palace were knocked out and so Palace might need park the bus again against Villa.
Leicester vs. Bournemouth
Leicester sit 4th as they got to winning ways last week while remaining unbeaten while Bournemouth lost their first game of the season against City as they sit 11th. 1 point separates the two teams and this should be a close game with both teams relatively strong defensively while Leicester are challenging for a top 6 place.
Man City vs. Brighton
City are unbeaten but they drew a game and already sit 2 points behind Liverpool in 2nd. Brighton lost their first game last weekend as they sit 8th and while they tend to perform against the top 6 teams City should have too much for the Seagulls. An easy win for City.
Newcastle vs. Watford
19th vs. 20th as three points separate the the two teams. Watford have lost all three of their games but got to winning ways midweek in the League Cup while Newcastle got a big win against Tottenham last weekend. Newcastle are in a similar boat to Palace in that last week it was good to go away and park the bus to win but at home against lesser opposition they will be expected to attack. It is a close game and a perfect game for Watford to gain some form but Newcastle will be buoyant and looking for the 3 points as well.
West Ham vs. Norwich
West Ham won their first game of the season last weekend thanks to Haller finally kick starting the season while Norwich lost their 2nd game to Chelsea. 1 point separates the two sides but Norwich have played some really good football in all three of their games and really pushed Chelsea and Liverpool. Norwich and West Ham should be challenging for the top 10 and so this is another game to keep an eye on especially with Haller and Pukki.
Burnley vs. Liverpool
6th placed Burnley take on league leaders Liverpool as the reds look to continue their perfect start to the season. Liverpool are the only team who have no dropped points and while Burnley away has been a problem before it should be another win. Burnley will be perfectly fine parking the bus and while they might keep the game close Liverpool should have enough to get three points.
Everton vs. Wolverhampton
Two top 10 challengers go head to head as they sit 12th and 15th in the table. Everton lost their first game of the season last weekend while Wolves remain unbeaten but have drawn all three of their games. Wolves though have done well to negotiate the Europa League especially since we saw what it did to Burnley. Everton also played in the League Cup midweek and heavily rotated and so this should be an interesting game.
Arsenal vs. Tottenham
The game of the weekend comes on Sunday as the North London Derby comes to town as both teams seek a win after losing last weekend. Arsenal sit 3rd sitting 2 points ahead of Spurs who are 7th, Arsenal lost to Liverpool while Spurs lost to Newcastle. The teams have a great attack and Spurs have a better defence but lacked a creative spark against Newcastle. Arsenal have three very good forward players in Lacazette, Aubameyang, and Pepe now whether all three start is a question mark. A very entertaining game especially after the great one last season.
La Liga MW 3
Sevilla take on Celta Vigo, Barcelona travel to Osasuna, Atletico entertain Eibar, and Real Madrid travel to Villareal. Barcelona might be caught up on bringing Neymar back to the club although it might also be false information, no one really knows. The toughest fixtures should be Sevilla’s and Real Madrid’s, hopefully Hazard is back on the bench for Real while Sevilla look to take advantage.
Serie A MW 2
MW 2 in Serie A as Milan entertain an interesting Brescia side, Juventus take on Napoli in the fixture of the weekend, Lazio take on Roma in another good fixture, Inter travel to Cagliari, and Atalanta take on Torino. Interesting fixtures for all teams involved this weekend as Sarri takes on his former club although whether he will be on the bench is a question mark. Inter will look to continue a good start under Conte while Milan will look to win after losing last weekend.
Bundesliga MW 3
Leipzig travel to Monchengladbach, Leverkusen entertain Hoffenheim, Bayern welcome Mainz, Dortmund travel to Union Berlin, and Frankfurt take on Dusseldorf. Other than the Leipzig and Leverkusen games it should be an easy weekend for Bayern and Dortmund with Frankfurt also picking up a win. Dortmund are leading the pack at the moment and will want to keep it that way.
Ligue 1 MW 4
PSG travel to Metz with Neymar, Mbappe, and Cavani all injured, Lyon entertain Bordeaux, Lille travel to Stade Reims, Rennes take on Nice, and Monaco take on Strasbourg with Monaco desperately seeking a win after a very poor start. PSG are finding it tough this season with all the injuries while Rennes have won all three of their games.
