Midweek Football Preview

The competitions stack up!

Carabao Cup 3rd Round

Arsenal vs. Nottingham Forest

Arsenal after their comeback win against Villa entertain Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup a team that are 6th in the Championship having won 4 drawn 3 and lost 1 being unbeaten in their last 5 games. Arsenal were shaky and Emery is probably going to rotate his squad with youth playing again and if Forest are clinical they could knock the Gunners out.

Colchester vs. Tottenham

Football League Two side Colchester who sit 10th in their league take on Tottenham who are looking to bounce back from their loss to Leicester at the weekend. Colchester on paper should be in for a smashing but these are the types of teams that are tricky to play especially in away games. Tottenham should win but Colchester could make it difficult.

Preston North End vs. Man City

Preston are 3rd in the Championship as they entertain City who are fresh from thrashing Watford. Preston will hope that all the anger has been released before their game as they look to cause an upset. City should win this game especially with the likes of Sterling having been rested at the weekend but Preston could make it difficult.

MK Dons vs. Liverpool

MK Dons are 15th in League One as they entertain a Liverpool side that fought hard for their win against Chelsea. Liverpool are 6 out of 6 in the league and have only lost to Napoli this season. MK Dons have caused upsets in the past but even a rotated Liverpool side should have enough to beat them.

Man United vs. Rochdale

Rochdale are 17th in League One as they visit Man United who themselves are struggling of late. United have a slew of injuries to deal with but Rochdale should be no worry for them. If Rochdale somehow beat United the red lights would for sure be flashing in Ole’s office.

La Liga MW 6

Barcelona take Villarreal, Atletico travel to play Mallorca, and Real Madrid welcome Osasuna. Midweek La Liga action as Atletico and Barcelona have a quick opportunity to bounce back from their weekend results.
