Icardi scored the only goal of the game in the 2nd half as PSG made it two wins out of two in their group. Galatasaray remain 3rd with a point to their name while PSG are clear at the top with a gap of four.

Real Madrid 2 vs. 2 Club Brugge

Club Brugge looked like they would get turned over at least on paper but they came to the Bernabeu with good form and knowing that Real Madrid were vulnerable. Bonaventure scored in the 9th and 39th minute to give Brugge a 2-0 lead at half time. Courtois was abysmal and was taken off at half time as Real looked to get back in the game. Ramos got one back in the 55th minute and Casemiro equalised in the 85th minute after Vormer had been sent off for Brugge in the 84th minute. Real could not complete the comeback but managed the point as they kick off their campaign. Real sit bottom of the group with Zidane’s future looking perilous by the day while Brugge are 2nd with two points.

Group B

Tottenham 2 vs. 7 Bayern Munich

The biggest result of the matchday as Bayern thrashed Tottenham in London. Last years finalists are enduring a tough start to the season but no one had this scoreline in mind. Things got off to a great start for Poch with Son scoring in the 12th minute. Kimmich equalised in the 15th minute and Lewandowski gave Bayern the lead right before half time with an expert finish. Spurs seemed to have lost it in the 2nd half as ex Arsenal player Gnabry went on a rampage. Gnabry made it three in the 53rd minute and 4 in the 55th minute. Kane got one back in the 61st minute via the penalty spot but it only angered Bayern more and Gnabry completed his hattrick in the 83rd minute. Lewandowski then pitched in with one more in the 87th minute and Gnabry added the final goal in the 88th minute. Bayern top the group with 6 points while Tottenham are 3rd and reeling after the result. Pressure piles on Poch as it looks like his time in North London might be coming to an end.

Red Star Belgrade 3 vs. 1 Olympiakos

Ruben Semedo gave Olympiakos the lead int he 37th minute but a 2nd half red card to Benzia seemed to lead to a collapse from the Greek team. Minamino then scored one more for Red Bull in the 56th minute and Haland equalised in the 60th minute to make it an incredible comeback. Liverpool though like they have done for much of this season scraped a win with Salah scoring in the 69th minute. Liverpool and Red Bull are level on points but Liverpool are ahead on goal difference.

No highlights from this game as Genk held Napoli at home with the Italians not being able to break down the home team. Napoli lead the group with four point while Genk sit bottom with a point.

Group F

Hakimi scored in each half to seal a good win for Dortmund away at Slavia Praha. Dortmund go top of the group on goal difference while Slavia are 3rd on goal difference with 1 point.

Barcelona 2 vs. 1 Inter Milan

Martinez scored in the 2nd minute to give Inter a lead and the Italians held the lead going into the 2nd half.
