Burnley vs. Chelsea Preview

Another tough away game.

Chelsea are looking to make it 7 wins in all competitions as they travel to play Burnley who are 8th in the league and playing well this season. Burnley were on a brilliant unbeaten run of games but lost last weekend to Leicester by a goal under some dubious VAR decision making. Burnley have won 3 drawn 3 and lost 3 in the league so far and have lost to most of the top 6 opposition they have faced. Sean Dyche has a set way of playing on the counter and relying on defending well while their two forwards are big and burley and should provide physical tests for Zouma and Tomori.

Chelsea go into this game having beaten Ajax in Amsterdam and so the players will be in high spirits after a good performance. Unlike Ajax though Burnley as previously mentioned will be defensive and so the creativity of Chelsea’s squad will be put to the test but the players managed it against Newcastle so why not this weekend.

Chelsea Team Preview

Barkley, Rudiger, Kante, and Christensen are all out for the game while RLC is still a while away. Kepa should start in goal, Emerson, Tomori, and Zouma should start in the middle and I really think Reece James should start at right back although he could start against United midweek and so Azpi might probably start. Jorginho, and Kovacic should make up the midfield two with Pulisic playing further forward. Hudson-Odoi, and Willian should make up the wingers while Tammy should lead the line. I expect either one of Mount or Willian to be given a rest with Pulisic coming in.

Burnley Team Preview

Gudmundsson and Drinkwater are the only absentees. Wood and Barnes should be ready physically impose themselves or at least try to while Sean Dyche should start with a similar lineup that he had against the likes of Man City.

A tough game but the momentum is in Chelsea’s favour if we can score early then we open up the game and it plays into our hands. If the game goes on without a goal or if Burnley score first then the game suddenly becomes harder. Stay wary on the counter and finish the chances we create and Chelsea should get the three points. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
