Big week of upsets!

Premier League MW 21

Burnley 1 vs. 2 Aston Villa

Wesley and Grealish scored in the 1st half to give Villa a good lead for the game while Wesley was injured and might be out for 4-5 months. Burnley got a goal back via Wood but Villa held on to make it 2 wins in their last three. The points take Villa out of the relegation zone and into 17th. Burnley have now suffered 3 defeats in a row as they drop down to 15th in the table. 

Newcastle 0 vs. 3 Leicester

Vardy was missing from the game but everyone else returned for Leicester as they put three past Newcastle. Perez, Maddison and Choudhary scored the goals as Rodgers made it 2 wins out of 2. Leicester remain 13 points behind Liverpool but still 2nd while Newcastle have suffered 3 defeats in a row as they go through a rough patch and drop down to 13th. 

Southampton 1 vs. 0 Tottenham

Ings scored in the 17th minute and Southampton kept it that way as the Saints got another massive win. Hassenhutl continues to rise up through the table as they move up to 12th in the table with another brilliant defensive performance. Tottenham and Mourinho have problems and once again failed to create any real opportunities as they remain 6th but now 6 points behind Chelsea who are 4th. 

Watford 2 vs. 1 Wolverhampton

Deulofeu gave Watford the lead in the 30th minute and Doucoure doubled the lead in the 49th minute. Neto got one back for Wolves in the 60th minute and while Kabasele was sent off for Watford in the 71st minute Wolves could not capitalise. Watford get another massive win in their battle to survive relegation as they remain 19th but now only 2 points from safety. Wolves remain 7th but 6 points behind Chelsea in 4th. 

Man City 2 vs. 1 Everton

City were always going to win this game at home and they did thanks to goals from Jesus in the 2nd half. Richarlison got one back for Everton in the 71st minute but it was nothing but a consolation. City go 8 points clear of Chelsea but remain 3rd in the table while Everton drop into 11th but had a good performance against City and will take encouragement. 

Norwich 1 vs. 1 Crystal Palace

Cantwell got another lead for Norwich in the 4th minute but once again Norwich could not hold on to it as Wickham came off the bench to score his first goal since 2016 in the 85th minute for Palace. Norwich remain 20th and now 7 points from safety while Palace remain 9th in the table. 

West Ham 4 vs. 0 Bournemouth

Moyes got a massive win for West Ham against a struggling Bournemouth in his first game as Noble scored 2 while Haller, and Anderson added the others. West Ham remain 16th 2 points clear of the relegation zone while Bournemouth drop into the relegation zone at 18th with 3 losses in their last 4. 

Arsenal 2 vs. 0 Man United

Pepe scored in the 8th minute and Sokratis added a 2nd in the 42nd minute as Arteta got his first win as Arsenal manager against a shambolic United side. The win takes Arsenal into 10th while United remain 5th but now 5 points behind Chelsea. 

Liverpool 2 vs. 0 Sheffield United

Salah and Mane scored as Liverpool continued their winning run while Sheffield lost yet another game but still sit 8th in the table.
