A tough game with history.
Chelsea take on Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday as we look to gain more distance from 5th. Burnley are 15th and have lost their last 3 and while to any normal person that would mean that Chelsea should win this game every Chelsea fan knows that this means that Chelsea will need to buck the trend and win. Chelsea tend to hand out wins to struggling teams that have not won in a while and so we need to break that record.
Chelsea had a good win against Forest in the FA Cup last weekend and we kept a clean sheet as well as Hudson-Odoi scored to many peoples happiness. The transfer window is in full swing as well but while Chelsea have been linked to a billion players we have actually signed or sold no one yet. The Brighton draw was not great but the fact that Tottenham, United, Wolves and Sheffield all lost meant that it was a point gained at the end.
Chelsea Team Preview
Chelsea should have rested players back with Kepa in goal, Reece James was amazing against Forest and should keep his place at right back while Tomori, and Zouma should return as our centre backs. Azpilicueta should return as well to complete the defence at left back. Jorginho, Kovacic, and Kante should make up the midfield while Pulisic, and Mount should support Tammy up front. Hudson-Odoi was good against Forest and we could see him start with Mount dropping into the midfield. Willian was rested and I have a feeling that he might start as well but I hope not.
Burnley Team Preview
Burnley might be without Wood but everyone else should be fit for the game as Sean Dyche will once again try to frustrate and park the bus and nick a goal against play. Burnley have inflicted some damage on Chelsea at the Bridge over the last few seasons and so this wont be a cake walk.
Chelsea won the reverse fixture 2-4 with Pulisic getting a hattrick that day and Willian adding the 4th and so one will hope that Pulisic once again returns to scoring form and Chelsea pick up three points in similar fashion. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
