Midweek Football Preview

Carabao Cup time!

Carabao Cup Semi-Final Leg 2

Aston Villa (1) vs. (1) Leicester

The home leg ended 1-1 with Villa getting the equaliser late on and a crucial away goal as well as they entertain Leicester at home for the 2nd leg. The fans will be buzzing as they look to reach the Carabao Cup final and a trip to Wembley while Leicester will feel that they have the quality to reach the final as well. A tight game and one that either team has the chance of winning.

Man City (3) vs. (1) Man United

City dispatched of United in the 1st leg by scoring 3 away goals and it looks like United would need some sort of miracle to reach the final now. City are at home and they will not want to drop the ball as we can expect a big win against United once again. It’s a good thing United beat Tranmere by 6 goals because United could suffer a heavy defeat in this game.

Premier League Game in hand

West Ham vs. Liverpool

Liverpool travel to West Ham as the teams play their game in hand with Liverpool looking to make it a 19 point lead at the top of the table. West Ham are 17th winless in their last three games and only above the relegation zone on goal difference. Moyes would love to get one over Liverpool having managed both Everton and United but the more likely scenario is that Liverpool thrash West Ham. If Liverpool were to lose this it would be a miracle and so Liverpool will most likely extend their lead at the top.

Copa Del Rey Round of 16

Valencia travel to Cultural Leonesa, Real Madrid travel to Zaragoza, Barcelona play Leganes, and Sevilla travel to Mirandes. Cultural beat Atletico a week or so ago and so Valencia face a tougher trip than expected while Real also have a tricky away trip. Barcelona will look to bounce back from some poor form while Sevilla should take care of Mirandes.

Coppa Italia Quarter-Final

Napoli and Juventus reached the semis last week as Milan take on Torino and Inter take on Fiorentina this week. Milan are in some decent form while Torino will look to bounce back from conceding 7 against Atalanta. Inter will look to return to winning ways after a tough few weeks.

Coupe De France Round of 16

Monaco take on St.Etienne, Lille travel to play SAS Epinal, PSG travel to play Pau, Marseille play Strasbourg, and Lyon travel to Nice.
