Premier League MW 25

Bournemouth 2 vs. 1 Aston Villa

Billing and Ake scored in the 1st half to give Bournemouth a comfortable lead at half time. The home side were put to the test in the 2nd half though as Lerma was sent off in the 51st minute for a 2nd yellow. Samatta scored on his debut for Villa in the 70th minute but it was too little too late and Bournemouth held on. Bournemouth climb out of the relegation zone and into 16th while Villa drop into 17th only a point above the zone.

Crystal Palace 0 vs. 1 Sheffield United

Guita scored in the 58th minute as Sheffield got a massive 3 points in their journey to finish in the top 6. Palace had no reply as they dropped down to 14th with the loss while Sheffield climb into 6th and 5 points behind Chelsea who are 4th.

Liverpool 4 vs. 0 Southampton

After Southampton held Liverpool in the 1st half and had a close game they Saints lost it in the 2nd half as Ox, and Henderson scored and Salah added two goals as well to get a big win and go 22 points clear at the top of the table. Southampton drop into 13th with the loss as very little separates the mid table teams.

Newcastle 0 vs. 0 Norwich

The two teams played out a 0-0 draw as neither could break the other down over the 90 minutes. Newcastle actually move up into 12th with the point while Norwich remain 20th and now 7 points from safety.

Watford 2 vs. 3 Everton

A thrilling game as Everton came back to beat Watford away from home. Masina and Pereyra scored in the 1st half to give Watford a comfortable 2-0 lead but Mina got one back in the 46th minute of extra time in the 1st half and Mina then equalised in the 49th minute of the extra time. The 1st half ended 2-2 in a remarkable fashion and the action carried on in the 2nd half as Delph was sent off for Everton in the 71st minute. Walcott though scored a 90th minute winner to get three big points for the Toffees. Watford remain 19th and 2 points from safety now with a damaging loss while Everton move into 9th and only 4 points from a Europa League spot.

West Ham 3 vs. 3 Brighton

West Ham drop into the relegation zone as they sit 18th, 1 point behind Villa while Brighton remain 15th and only 2 points above the relegation zone.

Man United 0 vs. 0 Wolverhampton

No team came out the winner in this game as United could not take advantage of some positive atmosphere via the Bruno signing to get a win against Wolves. Wolves also were wasteful in their finishing and could not beat the Red Devils. United drop into 7th still 6 points from the top four while Wolves drop into 8th level on points with United.

Burnley 0 vs. 0 Arsenal

Burnley held Arsenal at home as the Gunners provided no real threat to the home team even with Aubameyang back in the side. Burnley move up into 11th with the point while Arsenal remain 10th having drawn their last four games.

Tottenham 2 vs. 0 Man City

This game provided plenty of drama as Tottenham beat City 2-0 at home. The first half saw Spurs defending and holding on against City as attack after attack came their way. Aguero was brought down in the box towards the latter stages of the 1st half but play carried on for 3 minutes and only then was it stopped and a penalty was given as VAR made the decision. Aguero passed the penalty to Gundogan who shot straight at Lloris who saved and then seemed to have brought down Sterling who came out for the rebound. The penalty was not given but Sterling was also not shown a 2nd yellow for diving in a dubious decision. The 1st half ended with both teams happy to have all players on the pitch. The 60th minute saw Zinchenko sent off for City for a 2nd yellow and Bergwijn then scored in the 63rd minute to get Spurs the lead on his debut. Son then made it 2-0 in the 71st minute and City ended up losing their 6th game this season. Big win for Spurs who move up into 5th and now only 4 points behind Chelsea while City are now 22 points behind Liverpool and 2 points ahead of Leicester.

PSG thrashed Montpellier 5-0 as Neymar was ridiculously booked for doing a rainbow on a player as it was deemed disrespectful by the referee. Lille beat Strasbourg 1-2, Nimes beat Monaco 3-1, Nice beat Lyon 2-1, and Marseille and Bordeaux drew 0-0. PSG go 12 clear at the top of the table while Marseille, Rennes, and Lille make up the top four. Lyon are 6th while Monaco are 13th in the table.
