The comeback was short lived though as Richarlison restored Everton’s lead in the 58th minute. Calvert-Lewin then made it 3 in the 88th minute in a comfortable victory for Ancelotti. Everton climb up to 7th 5 points behind Chelsea who are 4th while Palace remain 14th with 3 successive defeats.

La Liga MW 23

Atletico beat Granada 1-0, Real beat Osasuna 1-4, Sevilla lost to Celta Vigo 2-1, and Barcelona beat Real Betis 2-3. Real maintain their 3 point lead at the top of the table while Barcelona end a run of poor results with a win and maintain their push for the title as well. 3rd placed Getafe are now 7 points away from 2nd while Atletico move back into 4th. Sevilla is 5th level on points with Atletico. Very much a two horse race in La Liga at the moment with Real staying strong.

Serie MW 23

Atalanta beat Fiorentina 1-2, Verona beat Juventus 2-1, Lecce beat Napoli 2-3, Lazio beat Parma 0-1, and Inter came back from 0-2 down to beat Milan 4-2 in a big win. Inter move back to the top of Serie A on goal difference while Juventus drop into 2nd, with their 3rd loss of the season. Lazio are only a point behind the two in 3rd while Atalanta are way off in 4th. Roma, are 3 points behind in 5th while Milan and Napoli are 10th and 11th. Inter and Juventus fighting for the title as Conte aims to end his former team’s dominance one which he started while Lazio stand an outside chance and the rest fight for 4th.

Bundesliga MW 21

Schalke drew with Paderborn 1-1, Dortmund lost to Leverkusen 4-3 in an entertaining game, Monchengladbach and Koln’s game got postponed, and Bayern and Leipzig drew 0-0. Bayern still lead the league a point above Leipzig while Dortmund are 3rd and Monchengladbach are 4th with a game in hand. The Bundesliga as tight as several other leagues in Europe but Bayern beginning to assert their dominance although they still have several chinks in their armour that Leipzig failed to exploit.

Ligue MW 24

Lille beat Angers 0-2, Marseille beat Toulouse 1-0, Monaco beat Amiens 1-2, and PSG beat Lyon 4-2. PSG remain 12 points clear of 2nd placed Marseille while Rennes and Lille make up the top four. Monaco are up to 7th with the win while Lyon are 9th. PSG have already won the title in spirit and so the rest are fighting for the other Champions League place and the two Europa League places.
