LIVERPOOL ARE CHAMPIONS AFTER 30 YEARS!

Premier League MW 31

Leicester 0 vs. 0 Brighton

Leicester and Brighton held out for a goalless draw with neither being able to break down the other. The result means that Leicester are now just a point above Chelsea as they sit 3rd in the table. Brighton benefit from the point as they open a 6 point gap from the relegation zone. 

Tottenham 2 vs. 0 West Ham

West Ham did well to keep Tottenham at bay but Soucek broke the deadlock as he scored an own goal in the 64h minute. Kane finally got a goal for himself in the 82nd minute after having tried countless times throughout the game. Tottenham move up to 7th 4 points behind 5th placed United while West Ham remain 17th just above the relegation zone on goal difference. 

Norwich 0 vs. 1 Everton

Keane scored in the 55th minute to give Everton a narrow in over Norwich as Farke and his team continue to struggle post lockdown. Everton remain 12th a point from 10th while Norwich remain bottom of the table and 6 points from safety. 

Wolverhampton 1 vs. 0 Bournemouth

Jimenez scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute as Bournemouth had no reply. Traore was again the provider as the partnership between the two continues to flourish. Wolves remain 6th behind 5th on goal difference while Bournemouth remain 18th and below safety due to goal difference. 

Newcastle 1 vs. 1 Aston Villa

Gayle got the lead for Newcastle in the 68th minute but Elmohamady got the equaliser for Villa in the 83rd minute in what is a massive point for the away side. Newcastle remain 13th in the table 3 points from 10th. Villa remain 19th in the table but now only below the relegation on goal difference. 

Man United 3 vs. 0 Sheffield United

Martial got United’s first hattrick since Ferguson left as he dispatched Sheffield United with efficiency. Sheffield continue their poor form since football resumed as they continue to fall down the table. United remain 5th 5 points behind Chelsea while Sheffield United drop down to 8th 5 points behind 5th. 

Liverpool 4 vs. 0 Crystal Palace

Alexander-Arnold scored a brilliant free kick to commence proceedings in the 23rd minute. Salah, Fabinho and Mane then added the rest as Liverpool dispatched Palace in clinical fashion. Liverpool seal the title with the win as City lost on Thursday night and they are now officially Champions after 30 years of hurt. Klopp and the club have done something remarkable this season and have been brilliant during this whole four year process. It is now up to the teams behind them to catch up. Palace drop down to 10th with the loss. 

Southampton 0 vs. 2 Arsenal

Arsenal’s misery came to an end on Thursday as Nketiah and Willock scored two comical goals to win the game. Southampton were poor defensively and really gifted Arsenal the win. Southampton remain 14th in the table while Arsenal move up to 9th 6 points behind United in 5th. 

Burnley 1 vs. 0 Watford

Rodriguez scored in the 73rd minute to give Burnley a big win against Watford as Burnley look to push for a European place. Burnley remain 11th in the table but just 3 points from 7th while Watford remain 16th and above the relegation zone on a point. 

La Liga MW 31

Villarreal 2 vs. 2 Sevilla

Alcacer gave the home team a lead in the 18th minute but Escudero equalised for Sevilla in the 39th minute. Torres restored Villarreal’s lead right before half time but El Haddadi equalised for Sevilla in the 63rd minute. It was always going to be a close game between the two teams. Villarreal remain 6th in the table 5 points form 4th while Sevilla remain 4th 4 points above 5th. 

Leganes 0 vs. 0 Granada

The two teams played out a goalless with neither taking advantage over the other. The point moves Granada up to 9th in the table while Leganes remain 19th but now 7 points from safety. 

Valladolid 1 vs. 1 Getafe

Mata scored in the 41st minute to give Getafe the lead but Valladolid equalised a few minutes later thanks to Unal’s penalty. Valladolid remain 15th in the table while Getafe continue their poor form since football resumed as they remain 5th and no 4 points from 4th. 

Levante 0 vs. 1 Atletico Madrid

Gonzalez scored an own goal in the 15th minute as Atletico continued their winning form post lockdown. Levante drop to 12th with the loss while Atletico remain 3rd in the table, 13 points behind Barcelona. 

Barcelona 1 vs. 0 Bilbao

Rakitic scored the winner in the 71st minute as Barcelona returned to winning ways and stayed on the heels of Real Madrid. Barcelona remain 2nd while Bilbao drop down to 10th in the table. 

Alaves 0 vs. 1 Osasuna

Lato scored in the 64th minute to give Osasuna a win in an narrowly contested game. Alaves drop to 14th with the loss while Osasuna move one up into 11th. 

Real Sociedad 0 vs. 1 Celta Vigo

Real Sociedad are another team who have not benefitted from the lockdown as they lost to Celta Vigo thanks to a Aspas penalty in the first half. Sociedad drop down to 7th in the table while Celta remain 16th but now 7 points clear of the relegation zone. 

Real Madrid 2 vs. 0 Mallorca

Vinicius scored in the 1st half and Ramos scored in the 2nd as Real Madrid dispatched Mallorca in comfortable fashion. The win means that Real stay top of the table while Mallorca remain 18th and 6 points from safety. 

Eibar 1 vs. 0 Valencia

Kondogbia scored an own goal to give Eibar the lead in the first half and Mangala was sent off for Valencia late in the game as Eibar managed the 3 points. Eibar remain 17th but now 6 points clear from the relegation zone while Valencia remain 8th and 2 points behind 6th. 

Real Betis 1 vs. 0 Espanyol

Bartra scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute as Real Betis finally managed a win after some poor results. Betis move up to 13th in the table while Espanyol remain bottom of the table and 8 points from safety. 

Serie MW 27

SPAL 0 vs. 1 Cagliari

Cagliari won with virtually the last minute of the game as Simeone scored in extra time to seal 3 points for the away team. SPAL remain 19th and 7 points from safety while Cagliari move up into 10th. 

Verona 0 vs. 2 Napoli

Milik scored in the 1st half and Lozano right at the end of the game as Napoli got 3 comfortable points against Verona. Verona drop down to 9th in the table with the loss while Napoli remain 6th in the table. 

Torino 1 vs. 0 Udinese

Belotti scored in the 1st half as Torino managed to hold out for the win with Udinese failing to break down the defence. Torino move up to 13th with the win while Udinese drop down to 15th with the loss. 

Genoa 1 vs. 4 Parma

Cornelius scored 2 goals in the first half to give Parma the lead and completed his hattrick in the 53rd minute to make it 0-3. Falque got one back for Genoa via a penalty in the 59th minute but Kulusevski completed the deal for Parma late on. Genoa remain 17th on goal difference while Parma move up to 8th and 3 points behind 6th. 

Inter Milan 3 vs. 3 Sassuolo

Inter played out a thrilling 3-3 draw as they failed to defend their lead against Sassuolo on multiple occasions. Caputo gave Sassuolo the lead in the 4th minute but Lukaku equalised in the 41st minute via a penalty. Biraghi then gave Inter the lead right before half time. Berardi equalised for Sassuolo in the 81st minute via a penalty but Valero restored Inter’s lead in the 86th minute. Magnani once again equalised for Sassuolo in the 89th minute and Skriniar was sent off for Inter in extra time. A frantic final minutes brought Inter no closer to the top of the table as they remain 3rd and now only 4 points above Atalanta. Sassuolo remain 12th in the table. 

Atalanta 3 vs. 2 Lazio

De Roon scored an own goal and Savic scored in the 11th minute to give Lazio a quick 0-2 lead. Gosens though got one back for Atalanta in the 38th minute and the home team posted a 2nd half comeback. Malinovskiy scored in the 66th minute to equalise and Palomino scored an 80th minute winner to give Atalanta a massive win and a big loss for Lazio. Atalanta remain 4th while Lazio remain 2nd 4 points behind Juventus. 

AS Roma 2 vs. 1 Sampdoria

Gabbiadini gave Sampdoria the lead in the 11th minute but Dzeko scored 2 during the rest of the game to give Roma a win in their first game since lockdown. Roma remain 5th in the table 6 points from 4th while Sampdoria remain 16th.
