Big results this weekend!

Premier League MW 36 and 37

West Ham 3 vs. 1 Watford (MW 36)

West Ham won a massive game against fellow relegation contenders Watford as the Hammers went 6 points clear of the relegation zone. Antonio, Soucek and Rice scored in the first half while Watford got a consolation goal through Deeney in the 2nd half. Watford remain 17th 3 points above the relegation zone as they could drop down the table. 

Norwich 0 vs. 2 Burnley

Norwich went down to 9 men as Buendia and Drmic were sent off within 10 minutes of each other in the 1st half. Wood gave Burnley the lead right before half time while Godfrey added an own goal late in the game for Burnley. Burnley climb up to 9th in the table but their European hopes come to an end. Norwich are already relegated.

Bournemouth 0 vs. 2 Southampton

Ings scored right before half time and Adams scored right before full time as Southampton gained a comfortable win against Bournemouth. Depending on results elsewhere Bournemouth could be relegated or could take their survival to the final day. Southampton remain 12th. 

Tottenham 3 vs. 0 Leicester

James Justin scored an own goal to give Tottenham the lead in the 6th minute while Kane added two more before half time to give Spurs a comfortable lead. A solid defensive 2nd half sealed the deal for Tottenham. Spurs remain 7th as they take their search for top 6 till the final day while Leicester will be hoping that West Ham win against United otherwise they could drop into 5th. 

Sheffield United 0 vs. 1 Everton

Richarlison scored in the 46th minute as Everton got a big win and Sheffield United’s European hopes all but came to an end. Sheffield remain 8th and the only way they can make Europe is if United finish 5th and win the Europa League. Everton remain 11th in the table.

Brighton 0 vs. 0 Newcastle

A nil nil draw as both teams could not break the deadlock. The two teams remain where they are while Brighton are now mathematically safe. 

Wolverhampton 2 vs. 0 Crystal Palace

Podence scored in the 1st half while Jonny scored in the 2nd as Wolves got a big win against Palace to remain 6th in the table. Wolves’s hopes for Europa League football remain but they face a tough task on the final day while Palace are 14th in the table. 

FA Cup Semi-Final 

Arsenal 2 vs. 0 Man City

Aubameyang scored a goal in either half as Arsenal got a win against City against all odds to reach the final of the FA Cup. It was a defensive masterclass from Arteta and Arsenal as David Luiz turned into prime Maldini. City won’t be getting a treble this season as the only thing that remains is the Champions League. Arteta is building the foundations of something good at Arsenal but he will need financial backing. 

La Liga MW 38

Valladolid 2 vs. 0 Real Betis

Navarro scored right before half time while Plano scored in the 2nd half in a good win for Valladolid to end the season. Valladolid finish their season in 13th while Betis finish 15th in what has been a poor season for the away team. 

Osasuna 2 vs. 2 Mallorca

Lopez gave Osasuna the lead in the 21st minute but Agbenyenu equalised for Mallorca right before half time. Budimir gave Mallorca the lead in the 65th minute but Perez equalised for Osasuna in the 68th minute. Osasuna finish 10th for the season while Mallorca finish the season 19th having already been relegated. 

Atletico Madrid 1 vs. 1 Real Sociedad

Koke scored in the first half but Januzaj rescued a point for Sociedad in the 2nd half as both teams shared a point on the final day. Atletico do well to finish 3rd in the league after struggles intially while Sociedad manage to stop their decline and finish 6th in the table on goal difference and get Europa League football. 

Villarreal 4 vs. 0 Eibar

The final 20 minutes saw a flurry of goals from Villarreal as Anguissa, and Gomez scored with Moreno adding two goals. Villarreal finish 5th as they seal Europa League football while Eibar finish the season 14th in the table. 

Levante 1 vs. 0 Getafe

Coke scored the winner in the 100th minute as Levante got a win against Getafe. Levante finish their season in 12th while Getafe finish the season 8th after going through a dismal post lockdown period of football. 

Granada 4 vs. 0 Bilbao

Soldado scored in the 1st half while Puertas, Fernandez, and Sanchez added goals in the 2nd half. Granada finish the season in 7th while Bilbao finish 11th. 

Espanyol 0 vs. 0 Celta Vigo

A goalless draw to end the season for both teams. Espanyol relegated finis 20th as expected while Celta remain 17th and manage to stay up with the point.

Alaves 0 vs. 5 Barcelona

Fati, Messi, and Suarez scored in the first half while Semedo and Messi scored in the 2nd as Barcelona ended the season with a big win against Alaves but little too late. Alaves finish the season in 16th while Barcelona finish 2nd 5 points behind Real Madrid. Barcelona need to do a lot to fix their situation inside the club.

Leganes 2 vs. 2 Real Madrid

Ramos scored in the 9th minute while Gil equalised for Leganes right before half time. Asensio restored Real Madrid’s lead in the 52nd minute but Assale equalised once again for Leganes. Leganes needed the win to survive but they could not get the final goal as they get relegated on the final day. Real Madrid finish the season 5 points clear having relaxed on the final day. 

Sevilla 1 vs. 0 Valencia

Reguilon scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute as Sevilla gained a win on the final day. Sevilla finish 4th on goal difference behind Atletico while Valencia finish the season 9th. 

Serie MW 34

Verona 1 vs. 1 Atalanta

Zapata gave Atalanta the lead in the 50th minute while Pessina equalised in the 59th minute. Verona remain 9th in the table while Atalanta remain 3rd in the table. 

Cagliari 1 vs. 1 Sassuolo

Caputo gave Sassuolo the lead in the 12th minute while Carboni was sent off for Cagliari in the 48th minute. Sassuolo could not take advantage though and Cagliari equalised in the 63rd minute through Pedro. Cagliari remain 11th while Sassuolo remain 8th.

AC Milan 5 vs. 0 Bologna

Saelemaekers and Calhanoglu scored within 25 minutes to give Milan a 2-0 lead but Tomiyasu scored right before half time to give Bologna some hope. Bennacer, Rebic, and Calabria scored in the 2nd half to seal the points for Milan. Milan remain 7th but go level on points with Napoli while Bologna remain 10th. 

Parma 2 vs. 3 Sampdoria

Gervinho, and Bereszynski scored in the first half to give Parma the lead while Sampdoria posted a 2nd half comeback. Chabot, Quagliarella, and Bonazzoli scored to gain 3 points for Sampdoria. Parma drop to 14th while Sampdoria move into 13th. 

Genoa 2 vs. 1 Lecce

Sanabria scored in the 7th minute but Mancosu equalised for Lecce in the 60th minute. Gabriel then scored an own goal in the 81st minute to give Genoa the win. Genoa remain 17th and go 4 points clear of 18th placed Lecce. 

Fiorentina 2 vs. 0 Torino

Lyanco scored an own goal in the 2nd minute to give Fiorentina the lead while Cutrone sealed the win in the 2nd half. Fiorentina move up to 12th while Torino remain 15th. 

Napoli 2 vs. 1 Udinese

De Paul scored in the 22nd minute to give Udinese the lead but Milik scored an equaliser in the 31st minute to get Napoli back into the game. Politano then scored the winner in extra time. Napoli remain 6th on goal difference while Udinese are 16th. 

Brescia 2 vs. 1 SPAL

Dabo scored in the 1st half for SPAL to get the lead but Brescia came back in the 2nd. Zmrhal scored two goals in the 2nd half as Brescia got 3 points. SPAL get relegated from Serie A while Brescia are still 9 points from safety. 

AS Roma 2 vs. 2 Inter Milan

De Vrij scored in the 15th minute and Spinazzola equalised for Roma right before half time. Mkhitaryan gave Roma the lead in the 57th minute while Lukaku equalised in the 88th minute via the penalty spot. Roma remain 5th while Inter go back to being 8 points from Juventus. 

Juventus 2 vs. 1 Lazio

Ronaldo scored in the 51st minute and the 54th minute as Juventus got a big lead while Immobile scored a penalty late on to give the game a nervy ending. Juventus manage the 3 points as they go 8 points clear again while Lazio remain 4th.
