Champions League Semi-Finals
RB Leipzig 0 vs. 3 Paris Saint Germain
PSG and Leipzig were looking to reach their first Champions League finals ever and PSG were able to accomplish that dream as they comfortably beat Leipzig. A nervy start saw both sides miss great chances but PSG managed to gain the lead in the 13th minute via a Marquinhos header. Leipzig had not choice but to attack the game but it allowed Mbappe and Neymar to cause havoc up top and the Paris side got a 2nd in the 42nd minute thanks to Di Maria. A goal from Bernat in the 56th minute sealed the deal for PSG. Leipzig had a brilliant run in the Champions League this season but PSG just had the pure quality.
Lyon 0 vs. 3 Bayern Munich
This was a better game than the first semi-final even if the scoreline doesn’t reflect it as Bayern put 3 past Lyon in a difficult game. Lyon started the better of the two teams and missed a ton of chances in the opening 15 minutes. Bayern though only need a couple of chances and they got the lead against the play in the 18th minute as Gnabry slotted past Lopes. Still Lyon created plenty of chances but their finishing was lacking which led Bayern to double their lead in the 33rd minute via Gnabry again. Lyon tried their hardest to get back into the game but they failed and Bayern sealed the final with a goal from Lewandowski in the 88th minute. It’s a shame that such a good Lyon side won’t be in Europe next season at all because of Coronavirus while Bayern now have a chance to seal an incredible season.
