Off to an intense start!

Champions League Group Stage MD 1

Zenit 1 vs. 2 Club Brugge (Group F)

This game lit up in the final 30 minutes as Bonaventure gave Brugge the lead in the 63rd minute. Horvath scored an own goal in the 74th minute to get Zenit back into the game but De Ketelaere scored the winner in the 93rd minute to seal the win for Brugge. Brugge sit 2nd in the group while Zenit drop to 3rd. 

Dynamo Kyiv 0 vs. 2 Juventus (Group G)

Morata scored in either half as Juventus got a comfortable win away at Kyiv with Ronaldo out due to Covid. Juventus sit 2nd while Kyiv sit 3rd. 

RB Leipzig 2 vs. 0 Istanbul Basaksehir (Group H)

Angelino scored 2 goals in the 16th and 20th minute to give Leipzig the lead and Istanbul didn’t have a reply. Leipzig sit at the top of the table while Istanbul sit 4th. 

Rennes 1 vs. 1 Krasnodar (Group E)

Guirassy scored a penalty in the 56th minute to give Rennes the lead while Krasnodar equalised through Ramirez in the 59th minute. Neither side could break the deadlock thereafter. Krasnodar sit top of the table while Rennes sit 2nd but all four teams in this group have 1 point. 

Lazio 3 vs. 1 Dortmund (Group F)

Immobile scored in the 6th minute to give Lazio the lead while Hitz scored an own goal in the 23rd minute to double Lazio’s lead. Haland got one back for Dortmund in the 71st minute but Akpro made it 3 for Lazio 5 minutes later as the Italians got a big win against Dortmund. Lazio sit top of their group while Dortmund sit 4th. 

Paris Saint Germain 1 vs. 2 Man United (Group H)

Fernandes and United got their customary penalty in the 23rd minute as United took the lead against PSG. Martial scored an own goal in the 55th minute but Rashford punished PSG in the 87th minute as he scored to take all 3 points for United. PSG were woeful but Ole set out to win the game and he did. United sit 2nd in the group while PSG sit 3rd. 

Barcelona 5 vs. 1 Ferencvaros (Group G)

Messi, and Fati scored in the first half to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead while Coutinho made it 3 in the 52nd minute. Pique was sent off in the 68th minute and Kharatin got one back for Ferencvaros via the penalty spot. Pedri and Dembele scored in the final 10 minutes though as Barcelona got a comfortable win. Barcelona sit top of the group while Ferencvaros are at the bottom. 

RB Salzburg 2 vs. 2 Lokomotiv Moskva (Group A)

Eder scored in the 19th minute to give Lokomotiv the lead but Szoboszlai equalised right before half time for Salzburg. Junuzovic got the lead for Salzburg in the 50th minute but Lisakovich equalised for Lokomotiv in the 75th minute. Salzburg sit 3rd in the group while Lokomotiv are 2nd. 

Real Madrid 2 vs. 3 Shakhtar Donetsk

Tete, a Varane own goal, and Solomon scored in the first half to give Shakhtar a big and surprise 0-3 lead against Real Madrid. Modric and Vinicius got 2 back at the beginning of the 1st half but a Valverde equaliser was disallowed in the final minutes by VAR. A big win for Shakhtar and a pensive loss for Real Madrid. Shakhtar sit top of the group while Real Madrid are 4th. 

Ajax 0 vs. 1 Liverpool (Group D)

Tagliafico scored an own goal in the 35th minute as Ajax lost to Liverpool in poor fashion. Liverpool sit 2nd while Ajax sit 3rd. 

Man City 3 vs. 1 Porto (Group C)

Diaz gave Porto the lead in the 14th minute but it served as a wake up call for City’s attack. Aguero equalised via a penalty in the 20th minute while Gundogan and Torres got 2 more in the 2nd half to seal the win. City sit top of their group while Porto sit 4th. 

Midtjylland 0 vs. 4 Atalanta (Group D)

Zapata, Gomez, Fruto, and Miranchuk all scored for Atalanta as they got their usual high scoring win against Midtjylland. Atalanta sit top of their group while the home team sit bottom. 

Olympiacos 1 vs. 0 Marseille (Group C)

Mahgoub scored a 91st minute winner for Olympiacos to steal 3 points at the very end. Olympiacos sit 2nd while Marseille sit 3rd. 

Bayern Munich 4 vs. 0 Atletico Madrid (Group A)

Even the defensively solid Atletico were no match for Bayern as Coman got 2, and Goretzka and Tolisso added a goal each to seal a big win. Bayern sit top of their group with Atletico 4th. 

Inter Milan 2 vs. 2 Monchengladbach (Group B)

Lukaku scored in the 49th minute to give Inter the lead but Bensebaini got a penalty in the 63rd minute to equalise for the away team. Hofmann then gave Monchengladbach the lead in the 84th minute but Lukaku equalised in the 90th minute to manage a point for Inter. Inter sit 3rd in their group while Monchengladbach are 2nd. 

Europa League Group Stage MD 1

Rapid Wien 1 vs. 2 Arsenal (Group B)

Fountas gave Wien the lead in the 51st minute but Luiz and Aubameyang scored in the 70th and 74th minute to give Arsenal the lead and 3 points. Arsenal sit top of their group with Wien sitting last. 

Celtic 1 vs. 3 Milan (Group H)

Krunic and Diaz scored in the first half to give Milan a 0-2 lead. Elyounoussi got one back for Celtic in the 76th minute but Hauge got the 3rd right before full time to seal a comfortable win for Milan. Milan sit 2nd in their group with Celtic 3rd. 

Tottenham 3 vs. 0 LASK (Group J)

Moura, an Andrade own goal and a goal from Son were enough for Spurs as they recorded a 3-0 win against LASK at home. Tottenham sit top of their group with LASK at the bottom. 

Leicester 3 vs. 0 Zorya (Group G)

Maddison, Barnes, and Iheanacho scored for Leicester in a routine win against Zorya who were no match. Leicester sit top of their group with Zorya last.
