Weekend Football Preview

Fans are back!!!

Premier League MW 11

Burnley vs. Everton

Burnley sit 19th in the table as they welcome Everton who are 8th in the table with 1 win in 5. The two teams are not in great form with Ancelotti’s side having lost that initial momentum. Burnley are always a tough team to beat but Everton need to start winning these games to regain momentum. Burnley are fighting relegation and every point will count. The game will be close.

Man City vs. Fulham

City sit 11th and face a Fulham side who sit 17th but have won 2 games and beat Leicester last week. City should win this game easily but hopefully Fulham can cause some upset like they did against Leicester.

West Ham vs. Man United

West Ham are in great form as they sit 5th in the table while United sit 9th a point behind West Ham. Domestically both teams are in good form and so this will be interesting especially with Moyes facing his former club. It will be an interesting game and with West Ham a counter attacking team this could be a positive result for West Ham. Ole is under pressure over the next few games.

West Brom vs. Crystal Palace

West Brom sit 18th in the table as they take on Palace who sit 15th. West Brom have shown some resilience over the last few weeks and managed their first win last weekend while Palace have been inconsistent. It should be an interesting game.

Sheffield United vs. Leicester

Sheffield United are now the only team who have not won this season as they take on Leicester who sit 4th in the table having lost the last 2 games and their Europa League game mid week. A must win game for Leicester and every game is a must win game for Sheffield United. Leicester should win but the Blades need to start winning as well.

Tottenham vs. Arsenal

North London Derby time as league leaders Tottenham take on 14th placed Arsenal with 8 points separating the two sides. Tottenham are the inform team with Mourinho having built a strong XI while Arteta is facing criticism on all fronts at the moment. Anything can happen in a derby though and it will be an interesting game to watch.

Liverpool vs. Wolverhampton

Liverpool sit 2nd level on points with Spurs as they take on Wolves who are 7th in the table. Wolves have been in good form and deserved their win against Arsenal and Liverpool have suffered another injury with Alisson out. The injuries don’t seem to be causing Liverpool massive problems but Wolves could take advantage.

Brighton vs. Southampton

Brighton sit 16th in the table while Southampton sit 6th in the table and suffered a demoralising defeat against United last weekend. It’s going to be an open game between two attacking teams and the result can go either way but Southampton are for sure the better team.

La Liga MW 12

Sevilla take on Real Madrid, Atletico welcome Valladolid, Barcelona travel to Cadiz, Real Sociedad travel to Alaves, and Valencia travel to Eibar. Big big weekend for Real Madrid and Zidane who faces some tough games ahead of him. Barcelona have been cruising in the Champions League but need to continue the momentum in La Liga while teams like Atletico and Real Sociedad quietly do their business.

Serie MW 10

Lazio travel to Spezia, Juventus take on Torino in a derby, Inter welcome Bologna, Atalanta travel to Udinese, Roma entertain Sassuolo, Napoli travel to Crotone, and Milan travel to Sampdoria. Milan are the in form team and it is good to see while the others play catch up to the resurgent force in Italy.

Bundesliga MW 10

Monchengladbach travel to Freiburg, Dortmund travel to Frankfurt, Bayern take on Leipzig, and Leverkusen travel to Schalke. Top 2 clash in the Bundesliga as teams need to get consistent and avoid Bayern stealing the lead once again. Dormtund need to start winning games as well.

Ligue MW 13

Marseille travel to Nimes, Rennes welcome Lens, PSG travel to Montpellier, Lille entertain Monaco, and Lyon travel to Metz. Some interesting games in Ligue 1 as PSG falter domestically while the rest actually start creating some sort of push against the dominating team.
