Interesting results…

Premier League MW 17

In what was bound to be a close game between two good teams this season it was Moyes’s West Ham Fellaini otherwise known as Soucek who popped up to score the winner in the 86th minute. Everton drop down to 7th with the loss while West Ham remain 10th with the win but level on points with some of the teams above them.

Man United 2 vs. 1 Aston Villa

Another game that was close and entertaining for the neutrals as Martial gave United the lead in the 40th minute. Villa had been playing well and they equalised in the 58th minute via Traore. United felt like they needed to use their trump card and opted for a penalty in the 61st minute and Fernandes stepped up to score the winner. United remain 2nd but go level on points with Liverpool and can go above them if they win their game in hand. Villa drop down to 8th with the loss.

Tottenham 3 vs. 0 Leeds

Kane and Son scored in the 1st half while Alderweireld scored in the 2nd half and Doherty was sent off late on as Tottenham won against Leeds. Leeds provided their usual attacking entertainment but were left wide open at the back which allowed Spurs to finish them off. Tottenham climb back up to 4th while Leeds drop down to 12th with the loss.

Crystal Palace 2 vs. 0 Sheffield United

Schlupp scored in the 4th minute while Eze scored a brilliant goal right before half time as Palace won comfortably against the Blades. Palace climb up to 14th with the win while Sheffield United stay bottom of the table, 12 points from safety.

Burnley vs. Fulham

The game was called off due to the Fulham squad suffering from Covid.

Southampton 1 vs. 0 Liverpool

Ings scored in the 2nd minute for Southampton and the Saints held on for the 3 points as Liverpool only managed one shot on target during the game. That makes it 3 games without a win for Liverpool as they struggle at the top and allow the teams behind them to gain the advantage. Southampton jump up to 6th after a poor run of form as they beat the champions.
