Everton 1 vs. 2 Burnley

Burnley could have easily had a few more before Everton got one back via Calvert-Lewin in the 32nd minute. Burnley played well and managed to hold on for the win in a game that they largely dominated. Everton drop into 7th with the loss while Burnley remain 15th but now 7 clear of the relegation zone.

Fulham 0 vs. 3 Man City

Fulham did well to limit City until the 2nd half but the league leaders switched gears as Stones, Jesus, and Aguero all scored to make it a 3 nil win. City remain 14 points clear at the top while Fulham remain 18th in the table now 2 points from safety.

Leicester 5 vs. 0 Sheffield United

It’s been a tumultuous few days at Sheffield United with Chris Wilder deciding to leave the club. There was a cloud of sadness over the Blades and that allowed Leicester to take advantage. Iheanacho scored a hattrick while Perez and an Ampadu own goal completed the route. Leicester remain 3rd but now 5 points above 4th while Sheffield United remain bottom of the table 14 points from safety.

Arsenal 2 vs. 1 Tottenham

The North London Derby started with Arsenal dominating the 1st half. Spurs got the lead in the 1st half through Lamela in the 33rd minute as he scored a rabona shot through the legs of Partey. A goal of pure class. One of the legendary goals in Premier League history. It came totally against the run of play though and Odegaard equalised for Arsenal right before half time. The winner came in the 64th minute as Lacazette was awarded a non penalty as he had already taken his shot and then was brought down. VAR did not overrule the decision and he converted the penalty to give Arsenal the lead. Lamela was then sent off for Spurs in the 76th minute and the away team actually began to play more expansive and attacking football as they chased the game. They could not find the equaliser though but went close a few times. Arsenal got a massive win over their rivals as they remain 10th in the table. Tottenham drop into 8th with the loss.

Man United 1 vs. 0 West Ham

The first half was a stalemate as United dominated it but West Ham held on. West Ham chose to play more expansive football in the 2nd half but only after Dawson had scored an own goal in the 53rd minute to give United the lead. West Ham could not find the equaliser though and on the counter United could not extend their lead. United held on for the 3 points though as they remain 2nd, 6 points from 4th and now 9 points above West Ham who remain 5th.

Atletico remain top of the table but only by 4 points as Barcelona sit 2nd and Real Madrid sit 2 points behind Barca in 3rd. Sevilla, Sociedad, and Villarreal are well away from the top 3. It’s a 3 horse race in La Liga with Atletico allowing Barca and Real Madrid back into the contest with their poor form.

Lazio beat Crotone 3-2, Atalanta beat Spezia 3-1, Inter beat Torino 1-2, Parma beat Roma 2-0, Juventus beat Cagliari 1-3 with Ronaldo scoring a hattrick, and Napoli beat Milan 0-1. Atalanta complete the top 4. Napoli are 5th, with Roma and Lazio behind them. Serie A was entertaining but Inter and Conte are dominating and well clear of the rest.

Monaco are 4th while Marseille have come back up to 5th but well behind Monaco. An interesting race in France with PSG dropping points.
