The races tighten up!

Premier League MW 31

Fulham 0 vs. 1 Wolverhampton

Fulham yet again lost a game in the final minutes as Traore got the winner in the 92nd minute. It’s yet another gut punch in Fulham’s hopes for survival as they begin to drift away from safety. Fulham remain 18th but now 6 points from safety having played a game more than the teams around them. Wolves jump up to 12th after ending their losing run.

Man City 1 vs. 2 Leeds

Dallas scored in the 42nd minute to give Leeds the lead. Cooper was then sent off for Leeds right before half time in what was an unfair sending off. Torres then grabbed the equaliser for City in the 76th minute and but Leeds held on and Dallas grabbed the winner in the 91st minute to take three points for Leeds. City see their lead at the top cut down to 11 points while Leeds move into 10th with a 3rd successive win.

Liverpool 2 vs. 1 Aston Villa

Watkins scored in the 43rd minute to give Villa the lead as it looked like it would be another tough night at Anfield for Liverpool. Salah got the equaliser in the 57th minute but Villa held on and seemed like they would get a point. Alexander-Arnold though scored a screamer in the 91st minute to hand Liverpool their first win of 2021 at Anfield. Liverpool remain in 6th with the win 3 points from 4th while Villa drop into 11th with the loss.

Newcastle managed to see out the game for a big 3 points. Burnley drop into 16th with the loss only a point above Newcastle who are 6 points clear of the relegation zone now.

West Ham 3 vs. 2 Leicester

Lingard scored 2 goals in the 1st half to give West Ham a comfortable 2-0 lead. Bowen then added a 3rd in the 48th minute to make it a big lead for the Hammers. Iheanacho got one back in the 70th minute and then got another in the 91st minute but it was a littler too late. West Ham held on for the win as they remain 4th in the table now only a point behind Leicester. Leicester with 2 successive losses are now dragged back into a top four race.

Tottenham 1 vs. 3 Man United

United had scored first in the game but had that goal disallowed as Son went down the other end and gave Spurs the lead in the 40th minute. Fred, Cavani, and Greenwood scored in the 2nd half though and got United a win against Mourinho and team as Spurs had no reply. Spurs sit 7th 6 points from top four while United remain 2nd but go 7 points clear of Leicester.

Sheffield United 0 vs. 3 Arsenal

Lacazette scored in the 1st half while Martinelli and the Frenchman got one 1 each in the 2nd half to seal the game for Arsenal. Sheffield United remain bottom of the table 18 points from safety as relegation is just a matter of when now. Arsenal move into 9th with the win as they look to secure a top 10 finish.

West Brom 3 vs. 0 Southampton

West Brom put 5 past Chelsea and now put 3 past Southampton as Pereira, Phillips and Robinson all scored in an exciting win for the Baggies. West Brom remain 19th but now 8 points from safety as Big Sam dreams about the impossible. Southampton drop one place into 14th with the loss.

Brighton 0 vs. 0 Everton

The draw boys are back as Brighton drew yet another game this season. The point was enough to take the Seagulls into 15th though. Everton remain 8th in the table but their European hopes seem to be falling behind.

La Liga MW 30

Atletico drew with Real Betis 1-1, Sevilla beat Ceta Vigo 3-4, but the biggest win came for Real Madrid as they beat Barcelona 2-1. Atletico now remain a point clear at the top of the table as Madrid move into 2nd in the table a point above Barcelona who drop into 3rd. Sevilla sit 4 points behind Barcelona in 4th. It is essentially a 3 horse race with Sevilla a distant 4th. It’s going to be a crazy last 8 games.

Serie MW 30

Milan beat Parma 1-3, Inter beat Cagliari 1-0, Lazio beat Verona 0-1, Juventus beat Genoa 3-1, Napoli beat Sampdoria 0-2, Roma beat Bologna 1-0, and Atalanta beat Fiorentina 2-3. Wins for all 7 teams at the top of the table means that it’s business as usual in Serie A. Inter remain 11 points clear at the top of the table as Milan sit 2nd. Juventus are 3rd a point behind Milan while Atalanta make up 4th a point behind Juventus. Napoli sit 2 points behind Atalanta while Lazio and Roma complete the top 7. Inter in cruise control at the moment as the rest fight for the Champions League places.

Bundesliga MW 28

Leipzig beat Werder Bremen 1-4, Monchengladbach drew with Hertha Berlin 2-2, Bayern drew with Union Berlin 1-1, Dortmund beat Stuttgart 2-3, Frankfurt beat Wolfsburg 4-3, and Leverkusen drew with Hoffenheim 0-0. Bayern remain 5 points clear at the top of the table. Leipzig sit 2nd, while Wolfsburg sit 3rd. Frankfurt sit 4th now only a point behind Wolfsburg. Dortmund remain 5th 7 points from the top four. Leverkusen sit 6th 2 points behind Dortmund. Bayern still in control but not as comfortable as they would want to be.

Ligue MW 32

Lille beat Metz 0-2, PSG beat Strasbourg 1-4, Monaco beat Dijon 3-0, and Lyon beat Angers 3-0. Lille remain 3 points clear at the top of the table as PSG sit 2nd. Monaco remain a point behind PSG while Lyon sit a point behind Monaco. The title race in Ligue 1 is as entertaining as the Spanish one and in France it’s been some time since there was a title race. With 6 games to go its going to be one hell of an end.
