Weekend of upsets!
Premier League MW 7
Man United 1 vs. 1 Everton
Ole rang the changes for this game resting the likes of Ronaldo and Pogba. Everton had several key players like Richarlison, and Calvert-Lewin missing. United started well but despite all the possession Everton stayed strong defensively. The first goal came in 43rd minute thanks to Martial. Everton equalised in the 65th minute thanks to Townsend. Everton had the momentum after equalising and scored an offside winner thanks to Mina. Davies was the one who made the pass to Mina in an offside position but Davies could have finished himself. United remain 4th in the table with the point, one point behind 2nd placed Liverpool. Everton remain 5th in the table and in a similar position points wise. Pressure continues to mount on Ole.

New signing Hee-Chan gave Wolves the lead in the 20th minute. Hendrick equalised for Newcastle in the 48th minute but Hee-Chan restored Wolves lead in the 58th minute. Wolves did well to see out the game for the win. Wolves move up to 12th in the table. Newcastle drop down to 19th and still without a win this season.
Burnley 0 vs. 0 Norwich
Neither team could get their first win of the season in this relegation battle. Burnley move up to 18th in the table a point from safety. Norwich remain bottom of the table but get their first point of the season and are now off the mark.

Llorente scored the only goal of the game in the 18th minute as Leeds got their first win of the season. The win takes Leeds up to16th in the table while Watford drop down to 15th in the table. Following the loss Watford sacked manager Munoz on Sunday. Premature in my opinion but that is what Watford do. Claudio Ranieri was appointed as the new manager on Monday.
Brighton 0 vs. 0 Arsenal
Brighton had 21 shots in this game compared to Arsenal’s 8 and dominated play for the whole game but Arsenal managed to somehow leave the Amex with a point. Brighton remain 6th in the table a point from 2nd while Arsenal drop down to 11th with the point.

Liverpool 2 vs. 2 Man City
City dominated Liverpool like they did Chelsea for the first half of this game. Liverpool were suffocated in their own half and found no outlet to counter. The 2nd half both teams decided to go for it and it turned out to be a very entertaining 45 minutes. Mane scored in the 59th minute to give Liverpool the lead. Foden equalised for City 10 minutes later. Salah restored Liverpool’s lead with a brilliant goal similar to Hazard’s from 2018 but De Bruyne finished from outside the box in the 81st minute to get a point for City.
