Premier League MW 12

Newcastle 3 vs. 3 Brentford

Lascelles scored in the 10th minute to give Newcastle the lead but Toney equalised a minute later for Brentford. Henry gave Brentford the lead in the 31st minute but Joelinton equalised for Newcastle in the 39th minute. Lascelles scored an own goal in the 61st minute to restore Brentford’s lead but Saint-Maximin scored the equaliser for Newcastle in the 75th minute. Newcastle drop down to 20th with the point and remain the only team without a win this season. Brentford remain 14th in the table but end their losing streak. 

Burnley 3 vs. 3 Crystal Palace

Benteke gave Palace the lead in the 8th minute but Mee equalised for Burnley in the 19th minute. Wood gave Burnley the lead in the 27th minute but Benteke equalised for Palace in the 36th minute. Guehi then gave Palace the lead right before half time in the 41st minute. Cornet equalised for Burnley in the 49th minute. Burnley remain 18th in the table but are four games unbeaten while Palace remain 10th in the table and continue their unbeaten. 

Aston Villa 2 vs. 0 Brighton

This was a close game between two well coached teams but Gerrard got his first victory as Watkins and Mings scored in the final 10 minutes to give him all 3 points. Villa move up to 15th in the table with Gerrard’s first win in charge while Brighton drop down to 9th in the table and are struggling to find a win at the moment.

Watford 4 vs. 1 Man United

This game was all Watford and it was a brilliant game. King gave Watford the lead in the 28th minute and Sarr made it 2 in the 44th minute. De Gea has saved a penalty earlier in the game and the one that was retaken as well. van de Beek got one back for United in the 50th minute after coming off the bench. Maguire was sent off for United in the 69th minute to give Watford a bigger advantage. Pedro, and Denis scored in extra time to give Watford a massive win. Watford move up to 16th in the table while United drop down to 8th in the table. A result of this game was that Ole Solskjaer was finally sacked by United on Sunday. United are searching for a new manager while Carrick is the interim interim coach. 

Wolverhampton 1 vs. 0 West Ham

Jimenez scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute as Wolves got a big win against West Ham. Wolves move up to 6th in the table with the win while West Ham drop down to 4th in the table after the loss ended their winning streak.

Norwich 2 vs. 1 Southampton

Adams scored in the 4th minute to give Southampton the lead but Pukki equalised for Norwich in the 7th minute. Hanley grabbed the winner for Norwich in the 79th minute. Dean Smith gets a win in his first game in charge of the Canaries and they make it 2 wins in 2 as they move up to 19th in the table. Southampton remain 13th in the table as their unbeaten run comes to an end. 

Liverpool 4 vs. 0 Arsenal

Mane scored in the 39th minute while Jota, Salah and Minamino scored in the 2nd half to give Liverpool a comfortable win. Liverpool move back into 3rd in the table while Arsenal remain 5th in the table as their unbeaten run also comes to an end. 

Man City 3 vs. 0 Everton

Sterling scored right before half time while Rodri scored a long distance screamer and Silva finished proceedings in the 2nd half. City remain 2nd in the table while Everton remain 11th in the table and without a win.

Tottenham 2 vs. 1 Leeds

James scored in the 44th minute to give Leeds the lead before half time after what had been 45 poor minutes from Conte’s Spurs. Conte seems to have fired up his players for the 2nd half because it was a completely different performance. Hojbjerg equalised for Spurs in the 58th minute and Region got the three points in the 69th minute. Spurs move up to 7th in the table as Conte gets his first win while Leeds drop down to 17th with the loss.

La Liga MW 14

Villarreal drew with Celta Vigo 1-1, Sevilla drew with Alaves 2-2, Atletico beat Osasuna 1-0, Barcelona beat Espanyol 1-0, Real Madrid beat Granada 1-4, and Sociedad drew with Valencia 0-0. Real Madrid go top of the table with a game in hand while Sociedad drop down to 2nd. Sevilla and Atletico make up the top four. Barcelona move up to 7th with the win as Xavi get’s his first as their manager. Valencia sit 10th while while Villarreal sit 12th. Real take the lead as the rest play catch up but it is an interesting race for sure.

Serie MW 13

Atalanta beat Spezia 5-2, Juventus beat Lazio 0-2, Fiorentina beat Milan 4-3, Inter beat Napoli 3-2, and Roma beat Genoa 0-2. Napoli and Milan’s unbeaten start to the season comes to an end but they remain top of the table and 4 points clear of 3rd placed Inter. Atalanta sit 4th while Roma sit 5th in the table. Lazio sit 6th and Juventus sit 8th in the table. Serie A got even more interesting this weekend as the teams that lead stumble and the rest catch up by a bit.

Bundesliga MW 12

Augsburg beat Bayern 2-1, Hoffenheim beat Leipzig 2-0, Wolfsburg drew with Arminia 2-2, Leverkusen beat Bochum 1-0, Monchengladbach beat Furth 4-0, and Dortmund beat Suttgart 2-1. Bayern remain top of the table but by 1 point while Dortmund remain 2nd and right behind them. Freiburg and Leverkusen make up the top four. Wolfsburg drop to 6th while Leipzig sit 7th and Monchengladbach climb up to 9th. It might look like a close race in Germany but we all know the title race really starts in January for Bayern. 

Ligue MW 14

Monaco drew with Lille 2-2, PSG beat Nantes 3-1, and the match between Lyon and Marseille was suspended due to Payet getting hit by a bottle. PSG sit 11 points clear with Nice, Rennes, and Lens making up the top four. Marseille sit 5th while Monaco sit 8th, Lyon sit 10th and Lille sit 12th. Ligue 1 a foregone conclusion but PSG could lose Pochettino who wants to join Manchester United and Zidane wants to join PSG. The only exciting thing in french football at the moment and Messi also scored his first domestic goal for PSG.
