City move even further ahead…

Premier League MW 20

Southampton 1 vs. 1 Tottenham

Ward-Prowse scored in the 25th minute to give Southampton the lead but Salisu was sent off for Southampton in the 39th minute. Kane scored in the 41st minute via a penalty to equalise for Spurs and while Spurs scored 3 other goals in the game those were ruled out via VAR. Southampton move up to 13th with the point while Spurs drop down to 7th in the table with 3 games in hand and 5 points behind 4th placed Arsenal. 

Watford 1 vs. 4 West Ham

Denis scored in the 4th minute to give Watford the lead. Soucek and Benrahma scored within 2 minutes of each other to give West Ham the lead in the 29th minute. Noble scored a penalty in the 58th minute and Vlasic scored in extra time to seal a big win for West Ham. Watford remain 17th with the loss and with 3 games in hand while West Ham move up to 5th in the table 4 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. 

Crystal Palace 3 vs. 0 Norwich

Edouard scored in the 8th minute to give Palace the lead via a penalty. Mateta scored in the 38th minute and Schlupp added a 3rd before half time. It was enough to seal the win for Palace. Palace move up to 11th in the table while Norwich remain bottom of the table with 6 straight defeats now. 

Leicester 1 vs. 0 Liverpool

After surviving a barrage of shots in the first half by Liverpool, Leicester gained the lead via Lookman in the 59th minute. Salah had also missed a penalty in the 1st half. Leicester held on and gained a massive win. Leicester move into 9th with 2 games in hand while Liverpool drop down to 3rd a point behind Chelsea with a game in hand but now 9 points behind Man City. 

Brentford 0 vs. 1 Man City

Foden scored in the 16th minute for City and it was enough for the leaders as they saw out the rest of the game for a win against Brentford. Brentford drop down to 14th with the loss while City go 8 points clear at the top of the table, now firmly in control of the title race.

Man United 3 vs. 1 Burnley

McTominay scored in the 8th minute to give United the lead while Mee scored an own goal in the 27th minute to double that lead for United. Ronaldo scored in the 35th minute to make it three but Lennon got one back for Burnley a minute later. No goals in the 2nd half meant that United won 3 points. United move up to 6th with the win with 2 games in hand. Burnley remain 18th and have 4 games in hand.
